Best Dog Friendly Restaurants in Cheddar

Warm greeting and comfortable table. Food was outstanding and we were very well looked after by our wonderful waitress. Calamari was possibly the best I have ever eaten and all our food was first class. Clean plates all round. Highly recommend … we will certainly be returning.

Another good evening in Cheddar. The starters of mushrooms with an egg were very good and the steak and mushroom pies excellent, pastry to die for and well cooked meat ! Have been waiting to try for ages but always sold out so we pre ordered this time to be sure of getting them. Almost too full for a dessert so shared the tiramisu again good. Service was fine and drinks nice and cold. Staff are always very friendly. A very pleasant evening.

A while since we’ve been to The Marlborough Tavern. No particular reason hasten to add. Lovely Valentines Day menu. Enjoyed what we ordered although both meals could have been served hotter(as in heat not spice). Not too noisy although personally not a lover of dogs in restaurants. Will be back.

We came here on Valentine's day for an evening meal while having a golden chance to be child free for a few hours! The food was fantastic (big up the Chefs!), Staff were very polite and helpful with a special mention to the young lady who told us it was her 1st shift. If she hadn't told us, we wouldn't have known! Service was really good and would absolutely consider coming here again for food (Normally come here for a tipple while our toddler is napping as they have a good drinks selection and its our local😅). Also to mention the upstairs seating area is nicely set up with probably about 30-40 covers total which made it a very nice atmosphere for a date night. If you are ever considering booking a meal here, they certainly do not disappoint!

A great experience from start to finish. Imaginative menu with numerous options - any of which I could happily have chosen. Friendly and helpful staff, who made us welcome. Superb attention to detail. First visit, definitely not the last.
