Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Barrio Logan

The service and ambiance were 5-star. The food was good but was not served warm so that was disappointing. We had a very enjoyable lunch with the chocolate pie a definite highlight. We will be back but hope the kitchen gets sorted out so meals are served warm.

For starters our reservation was at 7pm. Got there 5 mints til and we waited til 7:21 to be seated. Next was our waiter. He asked if we were ready to order drinks yet had no drink menu. He either didn’t hear me say we didn’t have one or just thought I said we weren’t ready….but never got a wine/cocktail menu the next table actually gave us theirs. Then he came back with only one menu and still not a drink menu. When it came to ordering we asked for sautéed spinach and we were brought creamed spinach. Waiter checked on us maybe twice.

As always, the lunch at Asti was wonderful! It was Valentine's Day & most choose to dine in the evening, so we had the patio to ourselves. Our server, Anthony, was attentive and personable. The Pasta was cooked to perfection and the salad was fresh & very tasty! All in all, a very nice experience for a beautiful San diego afternoon!

If you want to enjoy an amazing offering of homemade recipes served by the passionate and friendly owners, then this is your place. The BEST uniquely paired and the best ingredients you can actually taste (like the butter and cream in their recipes). We ate each of the recommended items for soup, salad, entree, dessert & drink. We were NOT disappointed. I can't say enough on how delicious the food was and how you felt like family! We will be back every time we have Balboa Theater tickets. It is worth the traffic heading south on the 5 at rush hour to enjoy Tapas & Beer!

Filet mignon tacos are amazing! Passion fruit agua and Horchata are a must!!
