- CCorinneSacramento / Sacramento Valley •11 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is a fun kind of experience, mostly for an older crowd. We ordered the pupu sampler (appetizer), the beef main dish and one of the salads. The food was great and my mom (aged 77) loved it and the band. If you come after 7 pm they play music here. Overall one of the highlights of our trip!More infoTonga Room & Hurricane Bar - Fairmont San FranciscoPrice: Expensive• Asian• Nob Hill•4.1

Drinks were good, 3 out of 3 bangers.More infoMr. Tipple’s Jazz ClubPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Civic Center / Hayes Valley / Van Ness•4.9
- LLydiavipSan Francisco Bay Area •23 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were a party of 5. 3 of us showed up on time. We were forced to wait until our friends (2 of them) showed. Not the best first impression. However, the restaurant is wonderful. Food was wonderful. our waiter, Scott, was absolutely wonderful and the music (Jazz combo) was wonderful.More infoBIXPrice: Expensive• American• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.7

The menu is sparse but the fish/sushi is fresh but expensive. But you can have a quick bite instead of an entire meal. After dining you line up to find your seat. I like the smaller venue, not a bad seat in the theater, as opposed to thousands of people. I recommend Yoshi’s for a fun night out in Oakland. Take the ferry, drive and park in the huge parking garage next door to Yoshi’s. The Average White Band brought back many memories and continued rocking out the crowd with their soulful band.More infoYoshi's OaklandPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Oakland•4.7
