Best Cozy Restaurants in Pequannock

We've been looking to go here for a long time and finally chose Valentine's Day. The food was excellent. Service was top notch. The staff were perfect with every aspect of our dining experience. The calamari was delicious along with all the other things we ordered. Can't wait to go back!

I had heard about Rails from numerous people who have always raved about it. So, I was very excited in anticipation. The restaurant is beautiful right alongside the Towaco Railroad Station. Plenty of help valet parking but a bit of a walk to get inside. The ambiance is nice with an extensive top notch wine list. But our waitress was not as knowledgeable about the menus that might have been a good opportunity for an upsell for our order. And it was kind of hard to get over that my guest’s lobster tail arrived raw. In sending it back when I asked the waitress about it she said oh! I didn’t talk to them, they’re very busy with it being the holiday. . . Not a very good first impression. Not even an apology. I would go back though. And I understand you can take a tour and go through the secret door to the bar in the cellar. The menu is a la carte which make it seem expensive, but the prices are actually quite reasonable.

My cocktail was $18 but very delicious! We did the Lunch pre-fix menu, which was totally worth it! The appetizers were AMAZING!!! The food portions were great, we needed to take our lunch and dessert home. My chicken was a little on the drier side, but the flavor was on point! Would definitely go back and recommend this place to my friends! They are starting brunch service on February 22nd. Our waiter was attentive, but a soft talker.

Had a great overall experience at this occasion - even though the time of my reservation was during a slow period (weekday afternoon).

Went on a Wednesday to have a quiet dinner with my girlfriend, we had a very nice evening, wonderfully delicious dinner with very attentive service. We started with the grilled shrimp app, 3 colossal shrimp were served. For our entrees, I had the Halibut special with pistachio, which was fantastic. My girl had the Salmon which was perfectly cooked and delicious. Service was top notch!
