Carnegie Diner & Café offers limited reservations 30% only and 70% walk in. We are brand new and we like to accommodate all of you. Carnegie Diner features an extensive all-day breakfast menu in addition to serving a wide selection of salads, burgers, sandwiches, entrees, steaks, fresh fish, pastas, desserts and more. All day breakfast items include a Classic Benedict with optional addition of lobster, Avocado Toast, a BLT Quinoa Bowl with chopped bacon and poached eggs, Steak and Eggs, and three eggs any style served with hash browns and bread. There are a dozen types of pancakes, decadent waffles and French Toast offered. The restaurant also features a full page of plant-based options. Lunch and dinner entrees include rib-eye steak, Atlantic salmon, fish n’ chips, shrimp spaghetti and spaghetti carbonara. Hamrock's Restaurant is located within the Moore-McCandlish House (built 1842) in the heart of historic Fairfax City. We've been proud to serve delicious made-to-order American dishes using fresh ingredients since our establishment in 2016. We also have a wonderful hand-selected wine list to enhance your dining experience. Approximately eighty-percent of our menu is-- or can be-- gluten-free, as we use only canola and olive oil in all of our cooking. Some of our best-selling dishes are our southern fried chicken, grilled meatloaf, and crab cakes-- all which are gluten free! Other menu favorites include our deviled eggs, firecracker shrimp, Atlantic grilled salmon, roasted pork tenderloin, and penne pasta with andouille sausage & shrimp. We have beautiful year-round outdoor seating options on our wrap around porch (we have heaters!) In the warmer months, we also open our courtyard.     Amazing Experience at Texas de Brazil! Texas de Brazil is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a perfect blend of upscale elegance and a relaxed, welcoming vibe. The service is top-notch—attentive, friendly, and always making sure you have everything you need. And the food? Absolutely incredible! The salad bar is fresh, diverse, and packed with delicious options, but the real star of the show is the endless parade of perfectly seasoned, expertly grilled meats. Each cut is juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Whether you love filet mignon, lamb chops, picanha, or Brazilian sausages, there’s something for everyone.     Our food was delicious, fresh, generous portions. We had roasted half chicken and avocado toast. We both asked for substitutions/add-ons which were accommodated. I was offered an alternative add-on because the one I initially requested was seasonal. Drinks and desserts were also good regarding taste and serving size. Our waiter was very pleasant and regularly checked on us without being intrusive. The manager also stopped by our table and other customers to check that everything was ok. It’s a diner, so noise levels are what one might expect, but we could easily converse without raising our voices. It has a retro diner vibe with posters/photos/vinyl of iconic performers at Carnegie Hall (original diner in New York is near the concert hall). It’s becoming a favorite neighborhood spot so it’s always busy and the one negative is that parking in this popular local shopping center is relatively limited so it can be hard to find a space during peak hours.
