The CREW 🖤 and I visited Trick Rider on February 15 for our Valentine’s Day celebration. There were five of us, and we all loved the atmosphere, the drinks, and the food. By the end of the night, we were already talking about when we’d be back. For entrées, we had a variety of options, including ribeye, filet, and oven-roasted chicken. Our sides—mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and broccolini—were all flavorful. The only critique from the group was that some dishes were a bit too salty. As for drinks, I had the “Lucky Guess”—a mix of tequila, lemon, and raspberry—and it was delicious. One of my friends ordered the “Spice of Life” but ended up returning it. It’s made with tequila, mezcal, pineapple juice, lemon, and jalapeño. I think the smoky taste from the mezcal just wasn’t their thing—personal preference. It’s definitely on the pricey side, but we knew that going in. For me, it’s a special occasion spot, maybe once a year, but some of the crew are already planning their next visit within the month! Overall, it was a win—everyone left smiling!

We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at this lovely spot, and I can honestly say it was the best choice we could have made! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were just right. We enjoyed live music that really added to the vibe. The interior was charming, and the whole ambience created a fantastic atmosphere! Plus, the cocktails were amazing! My husband and I had such a blast! Oh, and I can't forget to mention Didi (I'm pretty sure that's her name) She was incredible and took such great care of us throughout the evening. I would absolutely love to go back there!

Our waiter Brian has made the experience one to remember. From his recommendations to personality, he made sure to be honest with his feedback from our questions to ensure we had a wonderful experience. Also, we came specially on this night to see/hear the band Mahogany Trio. They’re the best to do it in this environment playing a variety of genres of music that will surely have you smiling, singing along, and two stepping by around the bar (lol). We will definitely be back.

The food was fresh. You had your choice of how much or little you wanted. I put small servings of food as I couldn’t make up my mind with all the variety of food. This year was a first to include a sushi bar. Unfortunately, we did miss the macaroni and cheese bar that they had last year. It was not available this year. We did get a complimentary glass of champagne. The staff was there to refill our coffees, tea and waters. They cleared off our plates without feeling hovered over. It was definitely worth the drive and price. We were not pushed out after two hours as other Thanksgiving restaurants put that notification. We will definitely look into do this again next year!
