Best Romantic Restaurants in Ala Moana

Had lunch here with the ladies today. It was our first time and we all enjoyed it. We ordered the Biscuits in a bag with jam and the truffle fries for appetizer. Couple ladies tried and loved their cocktail “A Honu World”. For lunch we had the Smashed Burger, prime Rib Moco, Chicken Pot Pie, Fresh Fish Sandwich and their version of the Saimin. Then for dessert we had the bread pudding, coconut lime sorbet, coffee and vanilla ice cream. The sorbet was delicious and refreshing and my fish sandwich was moist and oh so yummy! Our server Dylan ( I’m sorry, I hope I got that right) was helpful and attentive. Service and food are 5 stars!

Food was delicious, and loved the ambiance with the live music, dim lighting, and the restaurant being right next to the ocean. Me and my wife went on Valentine’s Day and we were able to get in right at our reservation time. She had the margarita pizza and I had the ribeye with jalapeño mashed potatoes and Swiss chard. The jalapeño mashed potatoes were incredible and so was the rib eye, which was cooked perfectly medium and tasted better than most nice steak houses I’ve been to. I would always recommend monkey pod to people looking for a good place to eat with a nice environment and setting.

First time at an omakase restaurant and it was amazing. Service was outstanding, the place was clean, nice soft music, and the food was so delicious. Every single dish that was served to us was very good and I thought I wouldn’t be full by the end of the experience but I was wrong. I would come back again and also recommend anyone to try this restaurant.

This was our first experience. It was Valentines Day so perfect. Everything was amazing! The food, taste and quality were delectable! Portions were just right. Our waiter.. His service was outstanding! Very personable. Appearance of the restaurant magnificent! Reservation I made was right at sunset. It was Friday night so we got the Fireworks over Waikīkī too. Only thing disappointing was I left a note in the online reservation stating we were celebrating our engagement but staff wasn’t made aware. So best to call them direct I guess if you’re planning an occasion like that.

It was our first time trying it out & we were so excited for Valentines Day - first off, the whole entire staff from the person who sat us, to each of our waitresses, the ones who cleaned up the tables - we all so polite & attentive. GREAT customer service. All the meat was delicious, we also ordered a few drinks. Overall great experience!
