Best Date Night Restaurants in Poquoson

Enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner here at Schlesingers. The service was fantastic and the food was beyond my expectations. I can’t wait to return for another wonderful night on our next special occasion.

Becca never fails to impress.. The ambiance within Becca at the Cavalier Hotel is refined and serene, providing the perfect setting for conversation, whether it be with a loved one of a business colleague. While the menu leans toward the higher end, it is ideal for special occasions. My wife and I had an outstanding meal served by Samantha, an attentive waitress who has been with the restaurant since it opened after the total renovation of the hotel over ten years ago. Afterwards we carried our glasses of wine a few steps away to the Raleigh Room for jazz night, which included two talented singers, one of whom was Miss Virginia 2024. All-in-all, there is no restaurant or venue in the Tidewater area of Virginia that rivals Becca.

We were lucky enough to get a table during the Grand Illumination and the food absolutely matched the beauty of the parade. Every bite of our meal from the pumpkin soup (that has the most amazing homemade croutons!) to the tuna tartare that was just melt-in-the-mouth delicious and the delicious scallops…every single bite was just amazing. I’m absolutely going to come back because I saw someone else get the GL burger and I NEED to try it! Looked amazing! Our server Crystal (I’m pretty sure that’s her name and I feel terrible about not being sure!) was absolutely amazing. Extremely attentive but without being overbearing. Our drinks were always tended to and she was very knowledgeable about the dishes we were eating. The whole experience was just delightful from beginning to end.

The service we received was nothing short of extraordinary, making our dining experience truly memorable. Each dish that emerged from the kitchen was a masterpiece in its own right. We indulged in delectable sushi that was expertly crafted, succulent salmon that melted in our mouths, and fried rice that was bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delightful revelation, leaving us craving more of the culinary magic we had just experienced.

Everything was great, wish we could afford to go more often.
