Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Newington

Excellent meal and service. Cozy setting with adequate table lighting. Recent Washington Post review was top notch so that moved us to check out Evelyn Rose after months of procrastination! I love that the tasting menu items can be 1) ordered a la carte and 2) not all diners need to choose that menu. More restaurants need to follow their lead. We will return for Happy Hour, always a nice way to save a few bucks. Hats off to the team, front and back of the house.

This was my first time sitting on inside and loved the dim lights was very chill sat at bar Mary was bartender she suggested crab dip witch was delicious, definitely a great spot to visit during week day weekends can be busier but nice vibe

Outstanding New Orleans Cajun and Creole food, completed by great service. Loved the wooden booths and bluesy vibe. The Orleans trout was delicious, as was the shrimp and crab etouffee.

This is a place rich with history. The restaurant decorates with a wonderful feeling of warmth and charm. Came to listen to the Thursday music fare and it was fabulous. Were able to finish our diner seated outside (on a particularly warm November evening) and listen to the beautiful strains of Gypsy Rumba.

The atmosphere was great! Cozy intimate. Soft music would have been nice. The waiter was excellent, attentive, patient, well groomed, paid attention to detail, checked on us constantly. It was my partners birthday 🥳 celebration and we enjoyed it immensely. I have already started recommending it and we will be back😁
