- MMichelleNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWent on Valentine's Day, normally don't do prefix menus, but this did not disappoint. We had reservations for 8:30 and got a table in the back room, great ambiance, server was great. We had the lobster bisque and crab cake for appetizer and for entree the halibut and ribeye. The ribeye was so tender I cut it with the butter knife (one of the best steaks I have had). Dessert was chocolate mousse 1 eaten there and 1 to go. Overall amazing night for valentine's day and my fiancé. Thank you Max's !!More infoMax Tavern - SpringfieldPrice: Expensive• American• Springfield•4.5

The rest of the team was supportive -refilling water, asking if we needed anything additional. A plus! Glazed salmon entree was outstanding as was the baked stuffed shrimp entree. Clam chowder was thick and flavorfully presented with herby bread sticks that were so yummy. Meals came with sauteed veggies and mashed potatoes to round out the best meal! We shared a Chambord creme brulee which was good, but did not garner out excellent rave reviews. I think plain is better, but dessert was very nice nonetheless. We LOVE Tucker's. It has become a regular stop in our restaurant rotation.More infoTucker's RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Southwick•5
- SSally1 review4.0Dined 6 days agoA bowl of delicious goulash with good bread, and the richest, most flavorful, robust coffee ever, make for a perfect and satisfying lunch on a budget! The food, as always, is outstanding. There are but a few (perhaps petty) reasons for not giving 5 stars across the board: 1. The bread rolls were really good, though serving them warm would make a very big and impressionable difference. There’s something comforting about butter melting into warm bread, so cold bread rolls are disappointing. It’s all about attention to detail. 2. The service was very good — but not exceptional. There was some waiting to get past that accounts for 4, not 5 stars. The Student Prince Prince offers unparalleled, authentic old world charm that is thankfully lovingly preserved. What a wonderful New England landmark! Thank you! Looking forward to another visit.More infoThe Student Prince CafePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Springfield•4.6
