The Plough isn't your average countryside pub. Sitting on a quiet lane in a quintessentially English village, The Plough was set to be sold off the developers when 120 members of the community came together to invest, and save, their local. After its purchase and renovation, the Yates family took over the kitchen and opened the pub's small, but proud, restaurant, Bowleys. Head Chef Alex Yates is still very early on in his career but though only in his early twenties, he has already spent two years in the kitchens at The Goring Hotel in London, as well as having gained experience with Rick Stein and even once cooking for the Queen. Bowleys menus have a traditional feel and adhere to classic, English fare with a fine dining twist. There are several options to choose between including a tasting menu, set lunch, a la carte, brunch and Sunday lunch. The tasting menu is the jewel in Bowleys crown and consists of five courses, with an optional sixth.

Open Tuesday to Sunday with food served all day from noon.We now have 3 Giant heated Tipis, they provide lots of fresh air and a lovely open environment, they are also heated.Formerly an 18th Century farmhouse boasting exposed beams, oak floors, exposed brickwork and oak tables. This leads to a very relaxed and cosy atmosphere with candle lit tables and real flame stoves.The cuisine is typically modern European, classically cooked using cornerstones such as stock pots to create their sauces with a brigade that has a passion for what they do. Nous étions une équipe de 18 personnes réunies à Medway pour une réunion de travail, et nous avons séjourné au Premier Inn Hotel. Juste à côté de l'hôtel, nous avons découvert le restaurant Turkuaz et avons fait une réservation de groupe. Ils nous ont réservé une section du jardin, que je pourrais appeler une véranda. Dans l'ensemble, c'était vraiment sympa. J'ai eu l'occasion d'essayer quelques restaurants turcs à Lyon, mais celui-ci était totalement différent, tant par le menu que par l'équipe. Ils sont clairement des pros dans leur domaine. Les présentations et les saveurs étaient impeccables. Le service était rapide et souriant, et le bar offrait un menu très varié. Pour ceux qui cherchent un bon restaurant méditerranéen dans la région, c'est l'endroit idéal.
