Best Restaurants for Afternoon Tea in Brough

Never knew about this place was told by someone eles definitely book ahead then no queuing will be needed otherwise the que stretches around the corner. It was a lovely experience and one we intend to repeat. It was our wesding anniversary and was gifted some chocolate which was extremely thoughtful.

Beautiful afternoon tea. The room was beautifully festively decorated! The waitress listened to all our requests with the afternoon tea, nothing was too much trouble. She also came back to ask if we needed more tea/coffee which was lovely too. I think some christmas carols/music in the background would have made it extra special.

I cannot recommend The Rise enough. This was my chosen venue for my birthday treat from my son. To coin a phrase: “ Our meal tonight was spectacular!” I’m my words: “perfection!” The beef wellington was mouthwatering and the suggested paired wine made it all the more perfect! The service was first class and our waiter was both attentive and professional, Thank you TK all at The Rise. 🍷

4 of us went for Brunch yesterday . It was absolutely fantastic !! The service , the food , the drinks , the atmosphere, everything about the experience was great . We were made to feel so welcome and the staff were so lovely in looking after us . Definitely do it again x

Lovely sedate setting in which to enjoy a festive afternoon treat. Staff are always excellent at Betty’s - polite, friendly, helpful - and the food is as you’d expect: plentiful and tasty. We’d made a special request due to a member of our party having a restrictive pallet and Betty’s confirmed they’d received our booking note about this in a follow up call and on site. They were excellent in managing this. Really enjoy sitting back, talking with our party while enjoying great food and listening to the lovely music
