Mimi’s Bakehouse is a second-generation family business established in Edinburgh in 2010, when Michelle Phillips sold her family home to open a bakery café in Leith. We have gone on to build a local success story brand that gives people a ‘hug when they walk in the door’ as the original café has since doubled in size and the business has gained five more shops, a successful website selling cakes online and a concession at Archerfield Walled Garden. We also opened an industrial bakery in March 2020, out of which most online trade is produced for fulfilment. The rump steak was really good and the oysters were unreal! Ambiance is very cozy and the staff were exceptional especially Tj and Joanna! It is a bit expensive especially the cocktails or wines, but you get what you pay for. Great for celebrations!

We have been to Edinburgh on several occasions but tried to avoid eating at restaurants on the Royal Mile as they are perceived as too touristic. So we were very pleasantly surprised when we tried Angels with Bagpipes as the food was excellent and staff very friendly.

Excellent evening, great food the Galician Chateaubriand was especially good, great service from a very knowledgeable waiter and some special touches made for our anniversary. Restaurant was slightly loud, but it was a busy Friday night so to be expected.

Probably the best breakfast I had in Edinburgh. The haggis was amazing. Eggs scrambled and cooked perfectly. Service was attentive. Must visit.
