We are an authentic Italian wine café, proud to offer quality Sicilian wines and spuntini appetisers across the UK. In the spring of 2013 something extraordinary happened. Two Italian guys in their twenties met in Manchester to find out that they shared a unique passion; they both loved and missed, the Italian Aperitivo, the ritual of drinking, nibbling and relaxing after work. A daily occasion to share moments of happiness with friends and family. By the end of that very same year, Veeno was born: a place where everyone could enjoy great wines and the most authentic Spuntini – platters of meats, cheeses and other appetisers imported from strictly selected Italian producers. Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard back in Sicily where great-grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. Since then, we have been working hard to ensure that our quality and tradition could flow from the bottles to the glass in your hand.

    Une très bonne adresse pour manger du poulet fris. Les quantités sont généreuses, et la nourriture est de bonne qualité ! Il y a beaucoup d’option gluten free et végétariennes, tout est bien pensé et le service est vraiment agréable. Nous y sommes allés un samedi soir, il y a avait une prestation musicale très sympa !

    Notre premier resto en Écosse, réservé après avoir lu les très bons commentaires, et on voulait se faire un resto Écossais en arrivant ici. Vraiment pas déçus ! Les 2 serveuses étaient aux petits soins avec nous (on a même eu droit à un « merci beaucoup » en français écrit sur notre addition 😂). Leur Haggis était délicieux, leurs desserts aussi. Et on a eu droit à un petit cours de dégustation de whisky avec une pipette d’eau pour nous faire découvrir comment le goût peut changer en ajoutant juste 3 gouttes d’eau. Nous avons passé un très bon repas, on recommande cet endroit si vous êtes de passage à Édimbourg à 100%
