Best Lunch Restaurants in Draycott in the Moors

We had just returned from family trip and decided to have dinner out rather than cook, so we dropped down to the Duncombe Arms it turned out to be a good decision. We had he Venison Shepard's Pie which was very good and a glass of red from their excellent wine list. It was a Monday night so very quiet but an enjoyable evening.

A visit to Beauty and the Bistro can not fail to be a memorable occasion. The design and decor will take your breath away. To my knowledge, there is no similar, intimate, high end establishment within the Stoke on Trent area ! The food, prepared by Mark, a recognised top standard Chef is exceptional, served by friendly, efficient, staff. For a special occasion, this is the venue. But you can also “pop in” for breakfast, lunch, or just a chat over a coffee. A special Sunday lunch menu is available, as is a children’s menu. One of the “nicest” aspects is you are very welcome to call in to catch up news on your computer, or meet with friends or colleagues. Finally, the bar is fully stocked, there is an enviable selection on the wine list, together with an exciting choice of cocktails, all readily available.

Wonderful place. Choice of menu excellent. Lovely dishes, plenty of flavours. Beautiful surroundings. Wine and cocktail choices unusual and good value. This is not your run of the mill restaurant. Staff are attentive and knowledgeable. I really can't wait to come back again. Thank you.

Superb lunch at the Star for my wife’s birthday. Very tender steaks cooked to our liking. The best you’ll find anywhere. Personal service and lovely and quiet. We will definitely return.

Lovely restaurant nice food, very accommodating towards child’s tastes. Much recommended, and will be back soon.
