Starter was really good, I then had steak for main but it wasn’t the best unfortunately - plus presentation of the steak could have been better. The place does have a nice atmosphere and our waitress was really helpful and friendly.More infoThe Old Siege House Bar & BrasseriePrice: Expensive• European• Colchester•4.6

A speaker near us meant the music was a bit too loud but the friendly waitress turned it down as soon as I asked. The new Prix Fixe menu was quite different from last week, but our choices were delicious.More infoThe Anchor Inn - NaylandPrice: Moderate• British• Nayland•4.6

- TTerryEssex •1 review5.0Dined on Feb 2, 2025We visited the Angel on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted on arrival by a very friendly waiter called Jack. We had the Sunday roast. I had the beef and my husband had the trio of meat roast. The food came quickly and tasted delicious. We then both had apple crumble with custard for dessert. All the food we had was lovely. Our waiter Jack was very attentive ensuring we were ok. We will definitely be back soon for another meal.More infoAngelPrice: Moderate• Pub• Braintree•4
