The South Cotswolds holds many attractions and events and the Cat is superbly situated to be able to enjoy many of these. Both the historic towns of Tetbury and Malmesbury are within a stone’s throw of us.A three-mile radius encompasses Westonbirt Arboretum and Westonbirt school, Highgrove gardens, and the Beaufort polo club. Badminton and Gatcombe horse trials are both within easy reach. We are 24 miles from the Roman spa town of Bath and from the city of Bristol, both with their many attractions. Cheltenham races are 34 miles from the Cat.Apart from these attractions, we are in the heart of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with many wonderful walks direct from our front door. We welcome well-behaved dogs. Our chef’s mission is to serve delicious pub food at reasonable prices. Our ingredients are fresh and largely sourced from local suppliers. Our menu changes with the seasons and availability of quality produce.

William’s is a multi-award-winning seafood restaurant, fishmonger, delicatessen and caterer in the heart of Nailsworth, Gloucestershire.A veritable Cotswolds institution for fifty years, William’s has recently benefitted from a full-scale refurbishment of both the restaurant and shop area in January 2020.Alongside a 64-cover new restaurant sits a new fish counter displaying an outstanding range of fresh seafood, delivered daily from Scotland and the South West coastline. The adjacent delicatessen offers a large selection of chef-prepared meals, cheeses, charcuterie and terrines as well as fresh fruit and vegetables. We are proud to have been voted one of Matthew Fort’s ‘Five Favourite Places to Shop’ and one of Rick Stein’s ‘Food Heroes’.

Visited Bath for Valentine's Day and The Square Brassiere and Piano Bar was our post Valentine's evening venue. We were booked in for 7:30pm and expected to be there for a couple of hours or so. From the moment we entered the premises we felt we were special. The staff were polite and attentive, the venue was welcoming and nicely laid out and the pianist was fun and accommodating regarding requests. We had the set Valentine's menu, none of which disappointed, delivering a variety of choices within it's framework. We had a great evening, eventually leaving at closing time. Well done to you all and thank you, Peter and Fleur

A while since we’ve been to The Marlborough Tavern. No particular reason hasten to add. Lovely Valentines Day menu. Enjoyed what we ordered although both meals could have been served hotter(as in heat not spice). Not too noisy although personally not a lover of dogs in restaurants. Will be back.

Lilliput has become a firm, local favourite since first visiting when they first opened - very definitely farm to table with truly excellent dishes (beef is the obvious highlight) and local ingredients prepared with imagination and flair and served by charming, enthusiastic staff... In a world of ever increasing 'assembly' cooking, Lilliput is a refreshing and very welcome addition to dining in / around Bath.

The staff at Opa Bath were an absolute delight. I’ve been numerous times before and took my partner for the first time for his birthday and he couldn’t rave about the food and venue enough. Beautiful place and lovely staff. Thank you for an amazing night.
