So we were very pleasantly surprised when we tried Angels with Bagpipes as the food was excellent and staff very friendly.More infoAngels with BagpipesPrice: Expensive• Scottish• Old Town•4.6
- JJenniferEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoAwesome experience. As a wheelchair user they reserved a table in the downstairs bar in preparation, as well as a table in the restaurant. I managed to get up the stairs and were seated early. Steak and ale pie was stunning with accompanied vegetable and baby potatoes, all cooked to perfection. Made our away day of shopping in Edinburgh so special. Thank you !!More infoAbbotsford RestaurantPrice: Moderate• British• Old Town•4.5
- SSusanEdinburgh/Midlothian •1 review5.0Dined 7 days agoThe Cafe Royal is one of Edinburgh’s classic Cafe/Pub/Restaurant which has maintained its stunning Victorian exterior and interior with a beautiful oval bar in other centre of the Café Pub area and stained glass windows in the Oyster Bar restaurant . We had a graduation dinner in the Oyster bar and all our food was excellent and something for everyone , especially those who are fond of shellfish .The steaks were cooked to perfection and the vegetable Thai green curry delicious . The service and atmosphere were also superb . The only problem was the temperature : it was a cold evening and most of us had to keep our coats on for the duration of the meal . However , this will not deter me from going again as the Café Royal is iconic and my family have celebrated many occasions here for generations .More infoCafe Royal - EdinburghPrice: Expensive• Continental• Edinburgh•4.3
- AAndyManchester/Greater Manchester •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 19, 2024Amazing food, presented and taste was fantastic. Complimentary oysters were a nice touch. We had Cullen skink and scallops for starter, both excellent but the Cullen skink in particular was exceptional Mussels and sea bass for main course again both dishes were amazing. - LLisaSeattle / Eastern Washington •1 review5.0Dined on Nov 18, 2024My friend and I ate here to celebrate her 60th birthday. Everything was wonderful. She said the souffle was like eating "cheese air" -- just lovely. My seabass was fresh and perfectly prepared. The wine was yummy; the dessert decadently delicious. The service was great -- solicitous and friendly, but not intrusive.More infoMonteithsPrice: Expensive• Scottish• The Royal Mile•4.6
