- HHaleyBedfordshire •4 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFirst time visiting Lucia; the welcome from chap not so friendly, moody in fact but very attentive waiter. Delicious olives and bread basket followed by seafood linguine and paccheri arrabiata with Italian sausage (extra); all amazing and top quality. Thoroughly recommend 👌 Two espressos to finish off; unfortunately served luke warm but were quickly replaced by our lovely waiter.More infoLucia - YorkPrice: Expensive• Italian• Harrogate•4.5

Hubby’s pork cheek very tender and the beef burger did not disappoint. I finished old school with Baked Alaska the perfect end to our meal. Ronnie was our main waiter but all staff looked after us really well. Great ambience and looking forward to returning.More infoThe Cut & Craft YorkPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• York•4.6

- HHarryHertfordshire •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoTucked away close to Newcastle's thousand-year-old castle, the French Quarter is a gem that provides a memorable dining experience. It offers a harmonious blend of exceptional food, warm service, and an inviting ambience. The menu is thoughtfully curated, with French-inspired dishes that highlight a perfect marriage of flavours and freshness. On my visit, I began with an exquisite Rillettes de Porc with some off-menu toasted bread. I followed this with an indulgent Bœuf Bourguignon accompanied by a tangy Gratin Dauphinois and fresh Haricot Vert. The staff were an absolute delight—attentive, friendly, and passionate about their work. They were happy to make recommendations, explaining food combinations with detail and enthusiasm. Every interaction felt personal, adding an extra layer of warmth to my visit. The restaurant offered subtle touches of a French bistro, a cosy yet sophisticated charm. It's perfect for both intimate dinners and lively group get-togethers. It's not budget dining, but the quality of the food, impeccable service, and overall experience justify the cost. Portions are generous, and each dish feels crafted with care. Whether you're a fan of French cuisine or just looking for a memorable culinary experience, the French Quarter delivers on all fronts. I will certainly return.More infoThe French QuarterPrice: Expensive• French• Newcastle upon Tyne•4.8
