Best Italian Restaurants in Soquel

We had a beautiful experience yesterday at Alpina/Terra! Our meal was fantastic: we started with a hot cheese fondue and housemade focaccia, followed by an authentic Italian dish called canederli, which I’m pretty sure you can’t find anywhere else. We also had an amazing polenta with American Wagyu wurstel. Since it was our Valentine's dinner, we ended our meal with the special dessert, which was absolutely delicious. Our server, Joseph, took great care of us. We’ll definitely be back!

Very good food and service. A very nice menu. There is indoor seating in a quaint setting as well as an outdoor courtyard and on the street parklet. We've always had a good experience here and excellent food.

It was a busy valentines evening and unfortunately the kitchen had a problem with their system which messed our order up so I came at all different times. Instead of a hollow apology the server and their manager looked after us and more than made up for the problem. Great customer service.

We went for Valentine’s lunch. The lunch menu, though lean, was more than adequate in choices. There was a branzino special that was fantastic. The Caesar salad and garlic bread appetizers are a must and the portions of the appetizers are enough to share between 3-4 people. The also have a “mercato”, a small shop that has panettone, sweets, oil, condiments and wine, all imported from Italy. I will definitely go back to try their dinner menu. The staff is great and service is excellent.

La Posta has been and remains one of the top three restaurants in Santa Cruz and, truly, the whole Bay area. Yes, there are some great places in SF, but La Posta is competitive. Tonight I wasn't terribly hungry but I had the most exquisite baby carrots and crab croquettes. And the service was of course perfect. They're lucky to have such an amazing staff and a phenomenal chef. I do wish the portions were a bit bigger, but in the scheme of things economically speaking, they've managed to keep their prices pretty even. My friends had the most gorgeous Pizza I've seen in a very long time. Same goes for the pasta. They're from New York and they loved it, so that says a lot! I'm bringing another friend on Saturday. What can I say? I love this restaurant and it's in my neighborhood. How lucky am I?
