Best Steakhouses in New Brighton

We went for the lamb chops and they were exceptional! The heirloom tomato salad with burrata was delicious as also the mashed potatoes and asparagus. This created just the perfect combination for dinner. We split the chops and salad and it was just the right amount of food. Accompanied by a nice bottle of wine and it was a fabulous meal! The staff here is phenomenal! A special shout out to Kenny in the front of the house. Can’t wait to do it again. Best in town and wait to do it again!

Everything was close to perfect. The host staff was able to accommodate a change from a birthday to an anniversary. Service was amazing and the food was perfect. This was visit 2 for me. And visit 1 for my significant other. The waiter never asked if we had eaten there before and never gave us the in-depth food thing talking about all the meats being prime grade and such or going through the ingredients for the dishes. Noise level was not bad. If you want a booth I would recommend over the tables. Overall though I would go back again.

We were out having dinner with a group of 6 on Valentine's Day. It was very busy, and it did take a while to get our food, but our server was really kind and continued to keep us updated. The food was really good though it may be a bit pricey. Even though it was really busy and with other people talking from every direction, we were still able to hear each other talk without having to raise our voices. Would go back to try again on less busier days. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had an excellent Valentine Day dinner at Axel’s. She had salmon while I the filet. The food was prepared as ordered and served hot. Jennifer and Scott were our servers. They were polite, friendly and stopped by periodically throughout the evening. We will definitely return again.

Beautiful space. Delicious food and drinks. Dont be fooled by bad cutlery! Despite struggling to cut my steak, it was a tender, melt in your mouth filet. Perfectly cooked. Waiter (Cole?) was very prompt and friendly. I appreciated him being present when needed but not overly hovering so we could talk on our rare date night out of the house. Appetizers and entree portions were appropriate for the price. Food and drinks came to the table quickly despite it being Valentine’s Day - I would usually expect slower times due to busier day. Reservations worked perfectly, walked in the door and brought immediately to our table. Had asked for a booth in our reservation if possible and we got seated in a booth. Hostesses were all very nice. I couldn’t have asked for a smoother, more pleasant experience. As a working mom who rarely gets to get out of the house for fun, or out on a date night - I couldn’t have been happier.
