The food was delicious and so were the drinks! The oysters were great and for the shrimp and grits were the best my husband has had. Means a lot coming from someone who only rates food pretty good! Chris also did a great job staying calm and managing a completely rude and disrespectful customer who is why I gave the ambiance a 3. It’s not at the fault of the restaurant but the fault of a horrible customer! Chris continue doing great things and way to remain calm and kind even when someone was over the top! Thank you Kelly’s for a great lunch! We will definitely be back and will spread the word to our Herndon Village! The deviled eggs were good. The salmon w. carrots and rice was excellent, along w. the apple bread pudding w. homemade vanilla ice cream. The service was excellent and very pleasant and prompt in spite of a birthday party taking place in the larger room and other diners coming and going. We both asked for substitutions/add-ons which were accommodated. I was offered an alternative add-on because the one I initially requested was seasonal. Drinks and desserts were also good regarding taste and serving size. Our waiter was very pleasant and regularly checked on us without being intrusive. The manager also stopped by our table and other customers to check that everything was ok. It’s a diner, so noise levels are what one might expect, but we could easily converse without raising our voices. It has a retro diner vibe with posters/photos/vinyl of iconic performers at Carnegie Hall (original diner in New York is near the concert hall).
