- RRhondaVIPKansas City / Kansas •7 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoStopped in for lunch and had the jerk chops w/side of okra and candied yams. The chops were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection; chefs kiss! The sides, albeit small, were tasty as well and turned out to be just the right portions for the overall meal. Our server, Max, was attentive, well informed on the menu, and helped make the experience. Would like to return and try some of the cocktails. They appeared to be on the pricier side - but given the experience we had with the food, it’s likely worth trying.More infoKitchen + Kocktails by Kevin Kelley - DCPrice: Expensive• Regional American (Southern)• Downtown•4.2
- TTheodorePortland / Oregon •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWife and I had a birthday dinner at Succotash. Was really looking forward to our first experience at Chef Edward Lee's restaurant. We generally enjoyed the Taste of the South. The wings and deviled eggs appys were excellent, as were the catfish, chicken & waffles, and ribs. The hummingbird truffles and pecan pie were also excellent. The Taste of the South was a lot of food for $45/person, a great deal.More infoSuccotash - National HarborPrice: Moderate• American• National Harbor•4.6
- AAliPittsburgh / Western PA •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoThe food was savory and delicious and our server was attentive and wonderful. We had the deviled eggs, hush puppies, and ham and pimento cheese crudeté for appetizers. For entrees we had the fried chicken sandwich, the burger with old bay mac’n’cheese as a side, and the shrimp and grits. I recommend everything, but especially the mac’n’cheese and the shrimp and grits!More infoSuccotash PRIMEPrice: Moderate• American• Penn Quarter•4.6
- CChrisVIPTahoe / Reno Area •9 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoAs is the case with food costs at most sit-down restaurants in D.C., you'll pay more than you think you should. But with that caveat, I'm a fan. The service was very responsive and the taste of almost every menu item is great. They are really creative with their dishes here. Today, I paid $24 for the egg white omelet (tomatoes, bell peppers, spinach & onions) with turkey bacon and multi-toast. The omelet was a hearty portion, and the eggs were incredibly fluffy and flavorful. I don't normally like pesto, but on this dish, it really works. The turkey bacon was floppy, not crispy, but I didn't specify prep, so if you like it well-done, tell them because they might not ask. The Uncle Nearest Blackberry Smash at $17 (Uncle Nearest bourbon, honey syrup, lemon juice, blackberry syrup, & mint) was a great add! Highly recommended! The decor and ambience is generally good, with almost every seat letting you people watch through all the windows. But on a typical weekend (and today), you will deal with a LOT of loud conversations. People have a good time here! If you are looking for a more intimate conversation, this won't be your spot. I'd recommend this for a group outing easily but for a date with hesitation. Though I've never had a long wait without a reservations on a Saturday morning, I started getting one as a matter of course, and now I' NEVER have to wait. They move like clockwork if you're in their books and show up on time.More infoMilk & Honey - The WharfPrice: Moderate• American• Southwest Waterfront•4.3
- EEleanorWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024Rachel took wonderful care of us. The food was delicious and served very promptly. There was a mix up with our Open Table reservation but manager Robert promptly texted me the morning of to accommodate us at an earlier seating because of the holiday. Rachel was very hospitable and made sure we had everything we needed. From the cocktails, to the appetizer, to the entrees and desserts we took to go, an outstanding meal. It was the perfect Christmas Eve dinner for our little family. A well-deserved reputation as an excellent establishment.More infoIron RoosterPrice: Moderate• Breakfast• Annapolis•4.4
