Best Canadian Restaurants in Guelph

Had an incredible time at General Public. The service and vibes were amazing and memorable. Jen Agg even filled our water glasses and served us desert ☺️. The caviar with mini Yorkshires is a dish we’ll be thinking about for a while - so delicious, as was the NY strip and chips. Definitely a top restaurant in the city and one that I’d recommend. CNN

My family had supper at Borealis last evening. We had three different dishes and all were delicious! Our server was friendly and attentive. We recommend saving room for dessert which is always yummy. We tried the chocolate tort this time. It disappeared in record time!

We truly enjoyed our whole experience at Ancaster Mill. I hadn't been there in many many years so wasn't sure what to expect. From arriving to leaving the staff were courteous, prompt, engaging, and the meal was fantastic. I had the Yellowfish Tuna which was prepared perfectly and my partner had surf and turf with mashed potatoes which was so yummy. To top it off we had Butternut Squash Cake which is twist on Carrot cake...LOVED IT. We are looking forward to going back in the new year for another date night.

We had a beyond incredible dinner and experience at The Friendly Society tonight. We shared two dishes (chicken sandwich with poutine and Mac and cheese) and the whole drive home we couldn’t stop talking about how delicious everything was. We couldn’t pick a favourite thing. The restaurant has such a great vibe and is beautifully decorated for the holidays. Our server was very friendly, helpful and so good at her job, which added to the whole experience. Can’t recommend this restaurant enough.

Our weekly date night never disappoints but tonight it did. We finished off our meal with the chocolate torte. Always have enjoyed it but it was way too small for 10.99? I don't know why it was but very disappointed as we wanted to share and not even enough for 4 bites?
