A "faithful" crowd stays true to this upscale New American-Italian in Huntington, which "deserves its reputation" for "superb cuisine" spanning "delicious pastas" to "phenomenal meat and fish"; the "top-notch" service and "intimate" setting will "make any occasion special", but make sure to reserve ahead because the cozy "close quarters" fill up fast on the weekends.

Received the "Award of Excellence" from Wine Spectator in 2024.
We appreciate our customers that order from our extensive wine list. If there is something you would like to see on our list please let us know and we'll do our best to put it on. Corkage fee per bottle if brought in will be $50 per .750ml.

Too crowded on Valentine’s day. I have been there many other times… but they packed us in that night.

Excellent dinner for Valentine’s Day with my 91 year old father. The tables were VERY close together and the tipsy table next to us got really loud, which is why I gave ambience 4 stars- but I love this restaurant and will always go back. And they gave the ladies a rose on the way willing is always lovely touch. Well done Piccolo’s!

This Huntington fixture has been a special place for my wife and me to return to periodically. The food has always been exceptional, but - true to its name - it's not an overly large restaurant, so reservations should be planned well in advance. Beyond the nice selection of unique pasta dishes, I found the Sigari appetizer to be crispy on the outside, tasty on the inside, and beautifully presented. The Veal Milanese was exceptionally tender, with a nice accompaniment of a salad topping and creamy mashed potatoes on the side. For us, the big downside of Piccolo is the noise level. When I'm sitting directly across a small table from my wife, I don't expect to have to raise my voice in order to be heard, and I'm certain she didn't appreciate hearing "What?" over and over from me. To be fair, it was the night before Valentine's Day, and there were a few tables celebrating birthdays as well. However, we would have enjoyed our pre-Valentine dinner if we had a more tranquil, romantic setting.

Great night with friends at Piccolo, service, food and atmosphere could not be better. Jason and the entire crew makes the experience first class. Shout out to Bobby - starting the night with great cocktails and wine sets the mode for a great evening.

Food was delicious! Service was good. My only complaint would be that the tables are so close together that the waiters had to keep bumping into me to get through. Not their fault just too tight. If you’re going to go then go around seven or eight because it clears out around 8:30 and gets quieter and less crowded.. Overall, I would give it four stars for food and service!

Possibly the best waiters in town. A lot of repeat customers, very much a "local hotspot" Seating in the bar area is not ideal for dinner, fine if you don't care about noise. I was a little disappointed this time, having ordered coconut tempura shrimp that was mushy and bland. My branzino was fine, though not particularly flavorful. Piccolo remains lively and people have been loyal for more years than I can count - have to be doing some things right!

Highly recommend this Huntington gem of a restaurant. We had Brussels sprouts that tasted like candy. So good. A nice bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and lots of wonderful apps and entrees. The new decor enhances the food experience. The bar is always so lively. Definitely will go back soon.
