Excellent meal enjoyed in this neighborhood gem ! Veal dish was tender and delicious, I enjoyed the sea bass special excellent with the butternut squash risotto ! Staff is exceedingly attentive and kind.

It was a busy Saturday night and the waiter apologized upfront that the food may take a bit longer. I really appreciated his candor and the place is nice so waiting for our food a bit longer was not an issue. Drinks were filled promptly. Food was really good with a nice salad and delicious bread basket included. Prices were reasonable. Service was very good despite the busy night! Overall a very good meal. Will definitely go again when in the area!

Looked forward to parents weekend at nearby school so made reservation at least a month prior to make sure we had a nice dinner planned. Picked the restaurant as I heard it was good. Reservation was 6 pm on a Saturday. We sat a few minutes before 6 and waiter greeted us. We ordered grilled octopus and a Brooklyn pizza. Server told us - the pizza may take 15-20 min so I would recommend the plain cheese pizza since we are busy. So we took his advice. Appetizers came quickly and octopus was tough and served sliced over arugula with a few slices of red onion and some seasoning. We order grilled octopus everywhere and this was not good. Pizza was just ok. Entrees come with salads which came out immediately after appetizers. Then we waited….and we waited and we waited. Tables all around us received their entrees. A table or two even turned over while we were there. Yet we still were not served. Waiter told us two times that our entrees would be right out. Finally around 7:40 our entrees arrived at our table and we told the waiter to bring us containers as we were not staying to eat. I asked for manager/owner and was told Juan was in the pizzeria section of the restaurant. So as we were leaving, I walked over to the other side and asked to speak to Juan. I quietly told him that we did not have a great experience and did not even stay for our meal after an unacceptable time of waiting. Juan said to me “yeah, it was a busy day and it gets like this sometimes” I said that is all you have to say? He said how about I give you a few $5 gift cards (that need to be used ONE at a time btw!). Clearly Juan could care less about our bad experience whatsoever. Now on to the entrees which we had packed up and ate the next day. Nothing memorable about them at all and the portions were not that great either. Very unimpressed. So needless to say, Piccolo Trattoria was a one and DONE for us. There are way too many nice restaurants in the area for us to need to go back.

A pretty space and the service was quite good. First time for me and my son. Our appetizers were delicious. My salad with mozzarella, arugula and orange chunks was fresh and tasty and lightly dressed. My son loved the grilled octopus with white beans. He liked his pasta with crab but my salmon and potato dish was mushy and over-sauced. It tasted like reheated leftovers and cost about $30. I may give it another try but order something else.

Very nice restaurant with outdoor dining as well. We were seated and attended on immediately. We had the mozzarella en carroza for an appetizer (ordering two next time, delicious). For dinner we had the linguini and clams in white sauce, fettuccini alfredo with chicken and the chicken francese, all were nicely presented and tasted great.
