Pizzeria Libretto is a lively Toronto neighbourhood restaurant offering Real Neapolitan Pizza certified by the VPN.
Atmosphere? Bright, busy, fun, loud and homey. Everyone is welcome: singles & couples, young and old, families, and those going on their very first date. No dress code—come as you are, or however you want to be.
Libretto aims to be loyal to what real pizza is, invented in Naples using local natural ingredients, cooked in a wood fired oven at extremely high heat to achieve a charred, blistered crust. We use San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte Mozzarella, brought in fresh daily. Our dough is made with naturally leavened Italian Caputo doppio zero flour. Our pizza bakes in less than 90 seconds in our 900 degree wood burning oven, hand built for us by 3rd generation pizza oven maker, Stefano Ferraro, in Naples. Simple, Honest, and Natural.

    The pizza was very good. The calamari was interesting, different then what you would expect from an Italian restaurant, but worth a try if you’re feeling adventurous.

    Menu is a bit limited but the food is tasty. Service is ok to good. Staffed by young people. Beware of eating from 5 to 730pm. They'll be a lot of kids in the restaurant and it'll be excruciatingly noisy. The acoustics are bad. Overall. Average. Not Libretto's best location.

    My partner and I came down to celebrate my birthday, and we had an absolute great time. The addition of the New York style pizza was awesome, and the classic lineup on the menu from both food and beverages was simply outstanding. The staff is also amazing and we always have a fantastic time when we go down there to celebrate special moments. GO TO LIBRETTO! THEY ARE AWESOME!
