We had an amazing experience at the Thanksgiving Buffet at the plumeria. First, I have to congratulate the staff on incredible service dealing with hundreds of people over a eight hr period. It as truly amazing. The food was exceptional, no tired buffet food. You would feel lucky to have is severed I’m and restaurant. Standouts included the miso glazed butterfish, tako poke, crab, mango cobbler, suckling pig and of course the traditional turkey, dressing and gravy, my congratulations to the whole crew.

We had the thanksgiving buffet, but found the food unappetising and cold and the buffet was not kept clean. While the wait staff were friendly, they were run off their feet to be point where the service levels of the restaurant were unable to be maintained. The buffet was set up in a separate room to the restaurant and patrons were required to walk with food through the bus restaurant check-in area. Definitely not 5 star quality and grossly overpriced.

Absolutely not worth the price for the Thanksgiving Buffet. Had booked an outside table, arrived and was told there weren't any and was sat next to the busing station. Food was salty, mashed potatoes were gluey, stuffing looked like it came from a bag. For the price we expected WAY more: more options and better food. We've been doing Thanksgiving away from home and at restaurants for years and have paid less for a far better experience. Do not recommend in any capacity. Super disappointing.

My wife and I went to the 2024 Thanksgiving buffet with about 20 years since the previous visit. We requested indoors in the reservation that was made 3 months prior, but they only had outdoors. Ok no big deal but it did start getting uncomfortably warm and humid after awhile. The buffet area it turned out was in a big ballroom accessed by going back through the restaurant lobby about 150ft. away from our table so people entering, leaving, restaurant staff and those with plates of food all converged in a lobby bottleneck and we had to navigate around each other. No collisions witnessed but close calls. 20 years ago it was really a Thanksgiving buffet with a turkey carving station and food was really delicious and atmosphere was relaxing. This time there were so many varieties of different food but the “Thanksgiving” food was relegated to a couple of steam pans. The turkey was dry and the dressing was way too salty and tasted like a dry version of stove top stuffing. The gravy was like a something from Safeway. All in all it was fair but a big let down from what it was before and can’t see going back, especially at $150 per person. Had a very disorganized and chaotic feel to it for what is supposed to be a 5 star hotel.

Yes, I understand it’s difficult to maintain the proper food temperature in a buffet. But the hot food was cold by the time we got back to our table, and the cold food was warm. It’s is a nice place with a good atmosphere and attentive servers. But way too expensive for what you get. With Sales Tax and TIPS, it was easily $170 per person, and we only ordered one drink from the menu. For that price, Champagne and Mimosas should at least be included. Otherwise, the price was outrageous. And our Server actually double-billed us. If I had not carefully checked, I would have paid twice as much. I find it difficult to believe that everyone there was paying so much money for each guest. The average person just cannot afford that, not even for a special occasion.

Can’t go wrong a meal here. We are regulars for breakfast and lunch. Service is always excellent and the food and portion size is great. We no longer go to Orchids at the Halekulani because they sadly have raised prices and reduced their portion sizes! Ask to sit in Wendy’s section….you will love her! Happy holidays!

We were last here in May and the food was outstanding. This time, subpar. It appeared there were different standards, different chef, and not nearly as many seafood offerings as before (I’m pescatarian). It was a big disappointment to say the least. We invited friends to join us and raved about how good it was; the quality just wasn’t there but we still paid full price. You have lost us as customers

Service was great. Would have appreciated other guests controlling their kids and not have them chasing and feeding the pigeons. Basic variety of foods. My favorites? The omelet station, Signature bread pudding and the pineapple Mint juice!
