As residents from the island's west side, we were glad we did not cancel our reservation. We were glad OpenTable checked because we were so busy that we forgot about it. It was a beautiful Hawaii day to drive and be at PBH. When asked if we wanted the brunch buffet, we went for it instead of our original plan to do ala carte. The place was not packed, so it was a relaxing time to try the buffet, and we enjoyed everything we picked. The servers were attentive and cheerful, not stressed by the holiday bustle. At the same time, we are an "easy to please" party. We did not fret when we could not be moved to a table with lesser foot traffic. Other notes - The buffet price was right, and parking was validated. The resort hotel had a festive holiday ambiance. The restaurant had a Japan-style restroom, which was to our liking as well.

Went for the NYE Buffet - thought at the price point it would be a bit more sedate however we were wrong. Some tables had linens - others didn’t? Also was sat next to a VERY large group (18) with children and a dog (?) - the children were running a muck. Also right on the line between the building and the tent edge so had to move when a squall came thru. Overall a good experience - the staff was working their butts off & the food was excellent - but could have been wayyyyy better.

The year-end buffet had such a great atmosphere, and it helped me create precious memories. Highly recommended!

If you are thinking of booking this for the "amazing seafood buffet," don't. This is an epic waste of money. To dine here, you pay a per person price that could get you into any number of Michelin rated restaurants around the world, and in return, you get an overly noisy, under-serviced, mediocre buffet. This would have been a bad review at $49pp , but at $175pp, it became terrible. We expect much more from Hawaii's finest 5-star resort.

We enjoyed the Festive Seafood Buffet on a Saturday night. Just don’t expect to be seated at your reservation time. It tends to be backed up. You may have to wait.

Quality of food has gone down a lot and definitely not worth of the money. Too many people at the same time and the noisy level is too high to enjoy food. Crab legs are too salty and prime rib is dried. Not coming back again.
