   Res 2/14/25 at7:15 pm. Seated at 7:30 pm had a bottle of wine and cocktail and ordered almost as soon as we sat down. 1 hour 15 minutes later no bread or appetizers and waitress never returned. Table next to us who came in 30 minutes after us got bread. We left and complained to manager. Preston’s has really worsened over the last several years and we won’t be back

   We ordered the special and a bottle of wine. It took us almost 2 hours to get her entrée and they were cold. Service was subpar.

   I had gone for Valentines day with my boyfriend and the steak I ordered was amazing and so were the fries but my boyfriends burger came out 15 minutes after my steak and burnt as well. The service was very nice but veryy discombobulated they brought us the wrong orders at first and when they brought the burger late the offered us free dessert but then put it on the tab once removed from the tab they brought us roses at the end of our meal but no desert. We asked for the desert and finally got the creme brulee I loved it my boyfriend thought it was too sweet. The ambience was very nice and the roses were a great touch just very unorganized in the back of the kitchen which made our dinner last 2 1/2 hours. If the organization were to be fixed and the burger cooked on a littles less time it wouldve been the perfect place, but we enjoyed it fine.

   For special occasions and events, go early. The food is fantastic, but as the evening goes on, the kitchen gets backed up and you will wait a while before getting it.

   Food was very good. Diverse and not exactly cohesive. Duck confit sitting next to a menu of burgers. But that is probably a good thing for where it is located. Anyone can find something on this menu. There is a full bar as well. Ambience also is a bit two-tone. Tablecloths and cloth napkins, but it doesn’t shake the “you are in a hotel” vibe. So not upscale, but certainly not diner. We would eat there again. Among the three of us we had Skirt steak with collards which was excellent. And two different burgers, both cooked to desired temp, and very good. Tater tots and onion rings were very good as well. Service was friendly and attentive. Go with confidence but be ready for casual atmosphere.

   Very Limited Menu for Dinner (could do better with more mid-price options) - - lunch and Breakfast are Buffets so if you are not big eaters, not the best value. The breakfast buffet had a lot of options if you are a big eater from continental options to full breakfast - - $16 plus tax - some food was a bit salty - service is great - however, the breakfast start at 7am ends at 10 am (does not align well with admission tour times that run from 8:30 until after 10:30 some mornings - and lunch doesn't start until 11:30 - Great Service very clean - food decent

   Our first time visiting Preston’s. We had the breakfast buffet. It was a typical buffet. It was good but the food could have been warmer. The cheese grits were delicious.

    My wife had a stir fry vegetable risotto and liked it. I had salmon and it was very under cooked, raw in the middle. So I only ate about half of it. My wife had ice cream from desert and said it was good but I had the lava cake and again only ate about half of it because it was basically just chocolate cake with some strawberry topping. There was no "lava" center at all. Was rather disappointed with our experience here. Will probably not go back.
