A neighborhood gem! This family-run Italian restaurant offers a chic, rustic atmosphere in a downtown Austin landmark historic 1876 building. Enjoy outdoor sidewalk cafe dining just steps from the Texas State Capitol (dog friendly).
We feature a wide variety of authentic Italian pastas, pizza, meats, seafood & unique daily specials. (GF and Veg options). Daily specials highlight the freshest and most seasonal offerings, such as Rigatoni Alla Norcina (sausage with truffle oil), house-made Gnocchi Sorrentina, and Whole Roasted Fish. Gelato, sorbets and desserts are delicious and made in-house.
The cozy full-bar offers classic Italian cocktails and a sizable wine list representing Italy’s diverse regions.
All breads and pizza are made daily using naturally leavened dough and an ancient fermentation process; this improves digestibility and creates a delicious flavor. Neapolitan pizzas are baked at 1000 degrees in a wood-fired brick oven. Your new Austin favorite.

Chef Gianfranco surprises and delights with his high quality ingredients melded to make traditional and innovative Italian fare. Find wonderful pizza here, with toppings loaded on the best bread in town - dough made with love and used for focaccia and table bread. Pastas are all imported from Italy's pasta town near Naples, except for one or more made in-house, and always cooked to al dente perfection. Sauces run the gambit from traditional bolognese (meat sauce) to inventive wonders like shrimp and asparagus in a light white sauce. Wonderful wine selection from Italy and from surprising places just east of Italy where the fruits of their centuries-old vineyards have yet to be marketed to Americans. Homemade gelato and other desserts are wonderful or end with a grappa or vin santo, my favorite on those occasions that i have room.

The food was delicious. Simple classic Italian fare. The staff were friendly and helpful and knowledgeable about allergies and ingredients. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

Our experience here was absolutely terrible. The place is cute and the food was pretty good however the service was horrible. Our waiter acted like he wanted to be anywhere but there - forgot a glass of wine and was so rude. Then, after we had placed our order (which included a pizza) another man which was not our waiter came out and said “we are out of pizza”. He seemed as if he was being sarcastic and trying to be funny and his demeanor was odd. Turns out they were in fact out of pizza and we were told too late to leave and go elsewhere. I’m disappointed because I thought the place looked really good but I will never visit this place again. And honestly I’m not even extremely picky about service. I always give servers the benefit of the doubt because I know it’s a hard job. I have never written or felt like needed to spend time to write a negative review until this.

We sat outside in early November and it was perfect. The inside is a bit noisy, so the sidewalk is much more pleasant when the weather is nice. My friend said it was the best chicken marsala she had ever had in her life. And everyone else at the table thought their meals were perfection. Thanks for a great night!
