                                                                              16 Prime, new to Denver, NC, is a welcome addition to the local dining scene and fits a gap in the current offerings for dining in the area. 16 Prime is owned by the family responsible for Joey's and this is the second location for the restaurant brand and occupies the former Pomodoro's physcial space. 16 Prime opened mid-November and while this is our first visit, it won't be the last. Upon entering, we were pleased to see the physical transformation and immediately felt an elevated experience and ambiance. We were quickly escorted to our table and promptly offered water; our waiter was with us shortly after. The menu offers more than adequate selections for appetizers, salads, and entrees and focuses on an excellent selection of steaks and chops while offering three fish dishes. The wine list is sufficient, but we suggest bringing your bottle and paying the nominal corkage fee. (Your Wine Stop, located 50 yards away, would be an excellent place to visit before dinner.) Our reservation was late the day before Thanksgiving, so we opted for one appetizer and split the petite filet. The appetizer, Bang Bang Shrimp, was perfect. Our steak was nicely prepared, but the lack of a standard fired potato option left us a bit wanting as the house potatoes, prepared without the standard cheese and heavy cream, were disappointing, as were the shrimp served with the steak (I had expected grilled but these were more or less steamed earlier in the day and probably sat out longer than they should - and relatively small) we added as an accompaniment. Service was good, and this will likely improve as the staff below the captain and waiter get up to speed. Bar service was quick, and the front-of-the-house staff was exemplary. (One small ask - store coats inside and not out on the partially covered patio.) We will be back and are grateful this establishment is open. I hope they review their menu regularly as a steak frites option would be a welcome addition.

                                                                              16 Prime did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious and we could not have had better service from the entire staff especially our server Paige! Will 1000% go back!!

                                                                              What a great experience and nice to see such a fine restaurant in Denver, surely the nicest! Food and service was amazing. I had the bone-in rib-eye and my wife had the filet and both were done to perfection.

                                                                              Good service except the wine opening was not good, cork in wine from poor job of opening wine. I am sure she will get better at this as time goes on. Food was very good

                                                                              Great to have another fine dining option here in Denver. Everything we had was wonderful. Really impressed with the hiring of professional restaurant staff and not just warm bodies with the lack of quality hospitality applicants. 2 recommendations.... the plates they use are very nice buttt... if you sit your knife and fork on the side, they will slide into your dish... also, the lighting in the dining room could use a little softening. It could be the reflection from the beautiful bar area. All in all, very satisfied. Another great example of you get what you pay for. Will be back with a couples night out.

                                                                              White wine wasn’t chilled but rather room temp, Food came out really quick but almost too quick, however drinks took longer than food. Overall the food was good, but there is room to improve on some dishes. Steak and Sea Bass had great flavor. We will definitely give them some time to get better.
