I didn’t know anything about 1751,. I booked it because it was near to the Bridge Theatre. So pleased that I did. Well designed restaurant with good food and pleasant, professional staff.

We very much enjoyed our meal with one small comment - my main course was tepid when it arrived and pretty cold by the time I'd finished eating it. The service was excellent and we had the best Dry Martinis we've ever had!

Went for express lunch menu. 2 ordered the Mediterranean salad topped with choice of grilled chicken breast or halloumi. There was no mention anywhere that both items were an extra cost. £3.50 and £2.50 respectively. Waiter wasn’t much help when we queried it and sadly we refused to pay the service charge, which he also queried despite it being “optional”. First time we’ve had an issue.

The food was not terribly good. The service, while sweet, kept getting our orders wrong. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Breakfast is not great standard, limited vegetarian and the only vegan option is terrible. Salad is overdressed and the amount of raw kale takes a long time chew and is unusual for a ceaser salad. Dry chicken in the salad. The heritage salad rarely has heritage tomatoes so should be renamed.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for food and even if you want a drink, you're better off going to TwoRuba next door. It's on the more expensive side, but the service and ambience was good for a drinks place.
