   We love 1776 and have turned ma y friends onto it. Everything is exceptional - food, cocktails and desserts. Fantastic service. Wonderful ambiance. So unexpected given its location. In addition, management really goes out of their way to accommodate you!

   I had the 14oz prime rib with mashed potatoes and asparagus ($40) and a very generous pour of the Bogle Cabernet for $10 - all of which was delicious and fairly reasonable for what I got. My hubby got the bone in barrel cut ribeye special, which he thought was good but not the best he's ever had. The server was attentive and there when we needed him but not obtrusive. The ambiance is great in keeping with the 1776 colonial theme, a bit noisy, but we were able to have a conversation without shouting. The owner seated us and came by later to see how things were. We also had the devils food cake for dessert with ice cream which was scrumptious!

   Charming restaurant - the service wa fantastic, very attentive waiter and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. We will go back.

   The food and service were excellent. The noise level is rather annoying…at times it was difficult to hear other parties at our table.

   We have come here since the first year they were open. The experience is always excellent! Our service with John was outstanding.

    -When making the reservation, I made a note to let the restaurant staff know we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. The hostess was the only person to acknowledge our special occasion. Even after mentioning it to our waitress, nothing special happened for my boyfriend, even though we watched her bring desserts with candles to other patrons celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. -Our waitress was overall...horrible. Her nose was running the entire service. She was constantly rushing by our table but rarely stopped to check on us. She knew nothing about basic cocktails. She seemed to write us off as a "cheap" table even though we ordered an appetizer, alcoholic beverages, and a steak entree each. -The manager swung by our table towards the end of the night but again, failed to acknowledge my boyfriend's birthday, even though I watched him check the reservation notes. He spent several minutes at every other table in the dining room but barely spent 15 seconds with us. -For $50, the steak was just okay. Disappointed in quality, taste, and presentation. Several better options in our area. In restaurants that make us feel welcome and appreciated.
