   Excellent service pleasant nice ! Nice atmosphere as usual in the John Carroll room with fire place . One entre was very good (halibut) my entree duck sauce ok but rather tough and chewy . Side of dirty rice was not that tasty. Good dessert. But have had much better duck at a few restaurants not as pricey . I guess I remember the Ris LaCoste. Days but ever since 89 has been up and down. Do ok but disappointing servers were very attentive and nice and dessert different and guite good .

   Very exquisite! Elegant! The food was super amazing. I loved our waitress Rutha! I hope I’m spelling it right! She was very attentive. Overall, it was such a wonderful time.

   1789 is a lovely restaurant. The service is outstanding and the food delicious. I would highly recommend dining there. They even have valet parking in the busy Georgetown area.

   We’ve been to 1789 several times over the last few years. Each dining experience was fabulous. Atmosphere is cozy with nice fireplace, yet elegant. Cocktails and wine list very good and appropriately priced. Appetizers and main courses are cooked to perfection and presented nicely. I had terrific pork chop, my wife had tasty halibut and my son had delicious lamb chops. Steak tartare and pasta starters very good. I must add, the service was impeccable, from the coat check to our waiter. We love this place - super special with wonderful memories of our son’s time at Georgetown Highly recommended!!

   We chose this restaurant to celebrate our anniversary, and overall, it was an amazing experience. The ambiance was elegant, the food was exceptional, and the personalized menu was a wonderful touch. The front staff was welcoming and attentive, making us feel truly special. Unfortunately, our server’s attitude and behavior were not up to the standards of such an establishment, which was disappointing. However, we still managed to enjoy our special evening thanks to everything else being outstanding

   Our evening and dinners were superb. The ambiance was beautiful and service was excellent. This was my second time dining here, the first time was probably 20 years ago. My only disappointment was we were celebrating a 75th birthday, which they acknowledged when we walked in. They really didn’t do anything for the birthday except bring out a candle and four little gummy’s at dessert time. We had ordered a couple of desserts. You would’ve thought one of them could’ve been complementary or they could’ve brought out a regular dessert to celebrate with considering how much money we spent last night.
