We ordered the bacon cheeseburger, seared scallops, and cracklins. The burger was not cooked to the level requested and had to be sent back. The scallops, fries, and cracklins were all covered in a Cajun spice. Just dumped on top, seems like lazy cooking

I love the food and drinks here. The salmon beignets are amazing and a must—have. The service is always a little slow, but it’s good food!

It was Valentine’s weekend and my wife ordered the Butternut Squash Gnocchi. I ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib with the Crawfish Dip Appetizer. We didn’t order any drinks, just the water brought by the host. The waiter came back and said they don’t have squash or any other vegetable substitute so my wife changed it to the Beer Brined Chicken Breast. The Crawfish appetizer was amazing, even though they served it with possibly store bought tortilla chips instead of the crostinis as advertised. We made a reservation because it was Saturday night but the place seemed empty aside from the Host. After about 20 minutes our food was brought out, and my wife had a nicely fried piece of chicken laying on top of a cold puree soup. She noted the chicken tasted good and she also found a few okra logs in the bottom of the puddle-no kale chips as advertised. My short rib for the description though, it was neatly plated and served with mashed potatoes and charred carrots. The beef fell off the bone and had good taste, but the mash was lukewarm and in need of a pinch of salt. Decorations were definitely a looking point for the people walking by and overall we enjoyed ourselves. The total bill was $104 including the tip.

Overall average. Everyone’s plates were ok, as described and they said tasted fine but no one was excited or impressed with their dish. I ordered the Abita beer brined chicken breast and it was very dry, and it came without Kale chips as described. The server did not come back to check on the quality of the dishes or see if we needed anything else after the entree’s were delivered. We were not offered drink or water refills or dessert and had to go to the hostess stand to ask for the check, and then return again after to pay. It may have been an off night, they did have a couple of large parties, but I don’t think we will be back. It just wasn’t as good as other options near by.

We call this our hidden gem in the Quarter. Food, drinks, and service are always great. It is our go-to when we are in the area and just want a place to pop in for a quick bite.

Horrible, horrible experience. First time in New Orleans and walked out the restaurant after waiting an hour for the appetizer. People were lining up to complain about service and finally I couldn’t take it anymore. Can’t say much about the food but the water was thirst quenching as someone stuck on an island. Try anywhere else.

    1. Drinks were late to serve. I had to ask for the ETA. 2. Appetizer and entrees arrived all together at the same time. 3. We were never checked again on drinks. 4. I had to get up from the table to go get my check and pay 5. No toilet paper in women's bathroom 6. They did apologize for the poor service at the end

We visited here 3 times whilst in New Orleans and loved it each time. Arthur served us at the bar the first 2 times, he makes amazing cocktails and the cracklins on the menu is delicious. Very friendly and chilled. We then ate brunch on our last day and Nico served us, he was so sweet and kind and made sure we enjoyed everything. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Great spot to chill out in.
