Le SoBou est l'un des restaurants les plus importants de 2013 selon le Zagat Magazine! Les restaurants du groupe Commander's reviennent au quartier français, où cet établissement à la gestion familiale a commencé dans les années 1950, avec le restaurant animé SoBou. Il se trouve au sud de Bourbon (au sud-est, à vrai dire), dans le pays où l'on boit de façon civilisée, loin des bières surdimensionnées ainsi que des mauvaises boissons glacées. Overall average. Everyone’s plates were ok, as described and they said tasted fine but no one was excited or impressed with their dish. I ordered the Abita beer brined chicken breast and it was very dry, and it came without Kale chips as described. The server did not come back to check on the quality of the dishes or see if we needed anything else after the entree’s were delivered. We were not offered drink or water refills or dessert and had to go to the hostess stand to ask for the check, and then return again after to pay. It may have been an off night, they did have a couple of large parties, but I don’t think we will be back. It just wasn’t as good as other options near by.

We call this our hidden gem in the Quarter. Food, drinks, and service are always great. It is our go-to when we are in the area and just want a place to pop in for a quick bite.

Horrible, horrible experience. First time in New Orleans and walked out the restaurant after waiting an hour for the appetizer. People were lining up to complain about service and finally I couldn’t take it anymore. Can’t say much about the food but the water was thirst quenching as someone stuck on an island. Try anywhere else.

1. Drinks were late to serve. I had to ask for the ETA. 2. Appetizer and entrees arrived all together at the same time. 3. We were never checked again on drinks. 4. I had to get up from the table to go get my check and pay 5. No toilet paper in women's bathroom 6. They did apologize for the poor service at the end

We visited here 3 times whilst in New Orleans and loved it each time. Arthur served us at the bar the first 2 times, he makes amazing cocktails and the cracklins on the menu is delicious. Very friendly and chilled. We then ate brunch on our last day and Nico served us, he was so sweet and kind and made sure we enjoyed everything. Nothing is too much trouble for these guys. The food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. Great spot to chill out in.

We arrived for dinner at 19:40. 5 people. The staff was nice, but it ends here. We chose several dishes out of the menu. After 15 min we were notified that one of the dishes is not available. We said fine and chose a different one. After 10 more minutes we were notified another one is off the menu. We chose another one. The drinks were served. After more than 30 minutes sitting we were told another dish is not available. Which means for us that none of the 4 dishes we ordered is available eventually. We never had such a poor experience in a restaurant. Waste of time and definitely ruined our evening.

They have a wonderful pork chop that is on and off menu. Don't care for anything else on their menu but burger. Got, ordered medium, got raw in center, left over half uneaten, and no one seemed to care. O well, 3rd block scratched off my list. Local

We enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Service started out slow but they made up for it. I will return when I visit again.

My selection was very promising. But the meal was poorly timed. The potatoes were room temperature, the gravy was off the charts salty & the Broccolini was hard rather than crisp. It was not not an inexpensive meal & it was really poor. I was also never asked how my meal was. In retrospect my tip should have reflected that.
