It is brightly lit with large lamps. 7th District has an open bar connected with the dining room. The aroma of fresh fruits from the bar adds a tropical feel to its ambiance. The live band, including saxophonist, pianist and violinist create a delightful magic of new and old school music. 7th District specializes in signature drinks and cocktails. The jalapeno cheddar corn bread is served with rich butter. Salmon bites are deep-fried like poppers. These are stuffed with customer's choice of cheese. The crispy coating of panko blends well with the garlic dip. The chefs at 7th District perfect the art of preparing Mac ‘n' cheese. The right portion of cheese and herbs make it more delighting.

This was our first Girls weekend trip and decided to come to charlotte. I planned everything and was searching for resturants in the area where we stayed and stumbled upon this restaurant. It's was black owned and the menu options was great. Once we got there it was such a nice atmosphere. It was soft lighting, restaurant was nice and clean. The food was really good, the only thing is my drink wasn't to tasteful I had a mango margarita.. Everybody else loved their food as well. I had the chicken & waffles (reg waffle) the waffle was so light and fluffy like i like and the chicken was seasoned good. One of my friends had shrimp and grits which she said was good and the Lemon pepper salmon which they said was seasoned very well. Overall had a real great time there!

This restaurant was amazing! The food was so good. Our server was the best!!! She even helped us take a family picture. Definitely will be back!

Every time we come, we have a great time. We love the food and the music, especially on the weekends. It's a great brunch spot.

We had reservations at 11am. There was no bacon, waiter said the bacon wasn’t thawed out. My Mimosa was flat. It had no champagne. So we just ended up leaving. The waiter was very apologetic thou.

We were seated at 4:10pm and no one acknowledged us. At 4:35pm I flagged down a waitress and asked if she would help us. We’d been sitting for 25 minutes without a glass of water. She stated that our table was not assigned to her but she agreed to take our order. Once the food arrived it was really good. The waffles were cold but the chicken was piping hot. I will visit the restaurant again because the chicken was delicious but their customer service SUCKS!!!

When i arrived in Charlotte this was my first stop and I must say I started my trip off right! Staff was nice and food was good!

While the food was pretty good the service was subpar. My family and I had an issue with the manager after we requested a change in our order due to noticing a feather on our chicken, having been delivered cold mac and cheese and waiting 40 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Our only request was to switch back to my family members original order of fish as opposed to the chicken we received. Instead of the manager being accommodating he argued with my family member about the service we experienced and stated that he could not fulfill her request in giving her the fish she had originally asked because she kept changing her mind and wanted the chicken instead. This was false, my family member did originally mention she wanted to salmon and grits but prior to the waitress submitting the order she changed her mind to the chicken and waffles. The reason for the change after the chicken was brought out was because we noticed a large feather on the chicken and my family member felt the chicken may not have been properly cleaned. Therefore, she requested her original order of salmon to substitute the chicken. We were NOT requesting a completely new order. The continued to argue back and forth and kept asking was he not being accommodating and what he was doing wrong. I felt the arguing with my family member was extremely unprofessional and not a good representation for the restaurant. In my opinion, the manager should have done what he needed to accommodate my family member (although she changed her order prior to the waitress putting in the order) for the feather found on her chicken and the other inconveniences we experienced throughout our time there. This place was recommended to me, and I was excited to patron a black owned business. However, although I personally enjoyed the food and the drinks (when they finally came out) I will not return or recommend due to the managers unprofessional behavior.
