   Jake Cossetta is a god amongst men. The bartenders sealed the deal and the pastry chef delivered the final dagger. Absolutely amazing! Thanks so much!

   Our seafood was fresh, perfectly seasoned and was presented beautifully. Our server was excellent! Very professional, friendly and prompt with our orders. Can't wait to go again!

   Our first time at 801 Fish. Excellent! It it was a quiet night, hardly anyone in the restaurant, which made for a quiet evening for us which we like as we get older and the hearing gets weaker. The service was outstanding - attentive, but not too much so. The food was great, as was the wine we ordered. This has only been open about a year, making it a "new" place but we will definitely return. Very enjoyable.

   Service was exceptional. It was a cold day in Minneapolis so starts we had chowder and lobster bisque, both excellent. The milk bread was soft and warm. I recommend the Swordfish.

   I was hoping for a lot more from 801 Fish. For service: Took about 5m before being contacted by wait staff; then 10-15 more minutes for drinks (which is really not right). When oysters were delivered, there were no oyster forks or plates. We asked to split a Caesar salad but were just given the big bowl, with the expectation to split it ourselves; but we didn't get a second bowl until we asked. Meanwhile, the Caesar was described as a "little gem" Caesar, which sounded interesting - but the lettuce was chopped (so it didn't really matter that it was little gem lettuce). The crisped anchovies were a nice touch, as were the squid ink croutons were a good idea, but not very distinct in terms of flavor. For the main course: Both the cioppino and scallops sauce were way too salty (especially the cioppino). When our mains arrived, there was no silverware. We were still waiting for our wine. All around, not up to the standard of the other mainstream national fish chain over on 6th.

   It was a busy Saturday evening with reservations at 6:30p. Our party of four was seated timely. We waiting 15 minutes until our Server had time to come by to our table to greet us and ask for drink orders. We noticed that our server was the only one assigned to approximately 15 tables. There was a different person that brought the drinks after another 10 minutes, now 25 minutes into our experience and we had not ordered dinner yet. After ordering dinner, it took 30 minutes or so to receive our meal. I ordered Swordfish with fingerling potatoes. The swordfish was decent size and very tasty. I received maybe 6 small slivers of sliced potato under the fish steak. For the $48 price, I was underwhelmed. It was a good thing that another party member ordered a side of potates, that she happily shared, otherwise, I would have just had a piece of fish. The other party members had soup, with three toated bread pieces, appetizer plates or a seafood stew and all had better size portions. Our waters ran dry during the meal and were not seen until our busy server went by numerous times and then asked someone else to pour water for us. The food was tasty, the noise level high, the service needs improvement, especially for our $475 meal/tip pricetag for four people. I would expect more for that.
