Since 1922 The Arches has been the destination for fine dining in Newport Beach. Known for it’s amazing steak and seafood menu It is a place where celebrities and local customers can dine in privacy.     Noise level is loud, much louder than "energetic." Our party had steak, pork chops, sea bass, and scallops. Only negative was the black squid ink rice (under the scallops). The ink rendered the rice inedible. Saffron or a hint of garlic or just the asparagus would have matched better. Service was excellent.

    Great dinner with friends all around. Service was excellent by both our server, Staci and her assistant, Moses. Staci was very helpful in giving us ideas for our meal and especially our cheeses for our appetizer. We also appreciated the attention by both managers, Kirk and Brenda, who stopped by to see if everything was to our expectations. Our friends really were impressed with the diverse menu and ending the night was espresso martini's (they said the martini's were the best they had ever had). Will definitely go back again.

    amazing experience, our server was so attentive and helpful and such a charm. Made us feel so welcome and the food was immaculate. Truly a place where you are valued as a customer.

    Food was really good. Restaurant was crowded and a little loud. Dark swanky vibe. Parking is only valet.

    Honestly the BEST place we have ever been to. Me and my boyfriend celebrated our 2 years and we couldn’t stop talking about how everything was AMAZING. The customer service was the best of it all! Sooo accommodating and felt so welcoming. Food was TOP TEIR! Thank you A restaurant for having us and being so kind to us on what is the most stressful weekend (valentines weekend) for you ! We loved the whole atmosphere/food and MOST DEFINITELY will be coming back !

    The Spicy Yellowfin Tuna on a crispy eggplant is a must. If you don’t order that, did you really go to A Restaurant.

    Hostess named Sam acknowledged us as soon as we walked in out of the pouring rain. She got us seated earlier than I expected and she was friendly. The rest was amazing, but just the small things entering for the first time mean a lot.

    Very popular. Bar crowded with people who appear n their 30s. Dining room noise very high whether due to bar spillover or low, hard ceilings. Since I'd been there, they've added tables amidst the booths, lending a crowded, even noisier ambiance. Caesars salad excellent, otherwise food just okay with the exception of the French fries. Quel disaster - so limp they almost fell over in their cone, and zero flavor. Fries aren't the main deal for me, but jeez, I felt insulted the kitchen would send these out to me. Have a little respect for your diners. The entrees and red booths saved the evening.
