A Salute is an Italian restaurant & full service cocktail bar located in an 1850 Church on Main Street in Matawan, NJ (Three minute walk from train station). The 170 year old building has kept its character and warmth to provide a comfortable setting for families and friends to enjoy a great lunch or dinner. Outdoor dining with a full service bar and oversized patio.

Karaoke every Friday Night!

Lunch Available daily from 11:30-3:30pm. Happy Hour daily from 3:00pm-6:00pm featuring 1/2 off drinks and select appetizers. Dinner begins at 4:00pm.

We are now offering a $60 pp Family Style Dinner, 7 Days a week, incl. holidays. Minimum 2 ppl required. Kids 10 and Under Eat Free!

My 2nd time at this place and I brought new people with me that haven't tried it the first time I went. Three people in my party did the Family Meal for $60, and although the waiter said, it's a lot of food, there will be leftovers, they haven't met my friends, who finished every last drop of all dishes and all the dishes according to my friends, was great! I love there little enclosed room for big parties, it makes it easy to chat with everyone and I requested it, and they accommodated - which I really appreciated. I also love the fact that when they saw I was trying to take a photo, the hostess jumped in and assisted without me even asking her. My entire party of 9 enjoyed it and we will be back again.

Awesome little restaurant. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the service slowed down incredibly between our entree and dessert. The service was fast until we waited over 45 minutes for dessert. Our waitress was very nice and very friendly, and the servers were friendly, too. A great menu but we opted for the special...$60 for a family style dinner. It was well worth it! Included LOTS of food, even drinks! The food was delicious! The atmosphere was very unique, built in a very small, old church. I love how they kept the original design, windows, etc. I was there years ago when it was a different restaurant and it was never crowded. I knew it would be good this time since the parking lot was full, as well as the 2 overflow lots (valet parking). I would definitely be back, and bringing friends!

Great Italian cuisine with good flavors and a cozy atmosphere. Service was exceptional, highly recommend.

Food and atmosphere are great. Old Church like setting and nice layout and bar. Looking forward to coming in the summer to sit outside.

Asalute is truly a unique experience. Between the family style dinner and friendly staff. It’s a must try and so worth it. Try the family style.
