Aboyer (ab-wah-yay), meaning, “to bark,” is a French-American brasserie as imagined by Chef Michael Lachowicz. An American-French restaurant pushing the boundaries of classic cuisine. Pulling from influences all over the world, Aboyer reconfigures classic dishes, but is still firmly planted in classic method and technique, never forgetting where we came from.

Reservations are recommended; walk-ins are welcome. Aboyer requires a credit card to secure all reservations. Please note that reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled booking will incur a $25 per guest cancellation fee & no-shows will be billed at a rate of $50 per guest.

The food is beautifully prepared and delicious. We had dover sole and it was outstanding! Service is excellent. A wonderful restaurant!

Excellent dinner last night. We came for the Lenten Dover Sole special which was written up in the Chicago Tribune. Oddly, it was not on the menu but when I asked about it, our waiter confirmed that it was available. The fish was outstanding and a generous portion, rice pilaf and broccolini yummy too. All four of us love it According to their IG post, it’s available until Good Friday. I may have to circle back before Easter!

Excellent restaurant with a great Happy Hour! We love this place. Can’t wait til the outdoor area opens!

The food and service at Aboyer is as good as it gets. The former, French influenced classics and American standard are absolutely delicious. The latter, exceptionally attentive and friendly. But the magic of the evening was significantly impacted by the extreme noise level that made conversation impossible and set off our nerves.

Our experience at Aboyer was outstanding. Our waiter was aware of our time frame and frequently checked back with us to make sure we were within the required time frame. We purchased drinks, appetizers and desserts from the Happy Hour Menu. The food was excellent. We were seated in the private dining room. It is a beautiful space. We look forward to returning to Aboyer.

All 4 of us enjoyed wonderful dinners -- trout, salmon, steak, salad, appetizers. We all look forward to returning. Great service, too.

The food at Aboyer is really as good as it gets. My wife and I had the pork and I had the Dover sole. Both of these dishes were prepared perfectly, done just right and with sauces/ accompaniments that were fantastic. The service is very professional although perhaps a bit too stretched. Wonderful ambience and adult noise level.

Went in for happy hour with my wife and a friend. Happy hour selection of food was great, and service was excellent as usual. Aboyer is really a great place, and I think the best on the North Shore.
