Paying homage to Oakland history-about 100 years ago there was a lounge and club called the VARSITY LOUNGE located in our same location, who knew! In digging up old Oakland memorabilia, we found an old menu. To our surprise-they were well known for two things the Varsity Martini and Conga Lines!! While we aren’t ready for a conga, we are ready for the Varsity Martini and other drink specials. Come join us every day in our downstairs café, and our upstairs bar Monday through Saturday.

Great remodel and upgrade on food and service! The upstairs is beautiful, and I highly recommend it for the ambiance. The food is solid, and there are good drinks and nice staff. It is a great place to meet friends or to celebrate a special occasion. Well done!

Our first time at Acre and we were impressed. I had the cauliflower soup and fries and BF had the very unusual but very delicious pepperoni pizza. Almond orange cake was light and delicious. Attentive and friendly waiter. It was a little crowded and noisy so upstairs might have been better but all in all a very enjoyable experience.

Service was great, we ordered a variety of share plates and they were all excellent. We also ordered a pizza to share. I came with a friend who is vegetarian and it was nice that there were so many options for her.

The service was a little slow m and kids menu was extremely limited. Overall the food was extremely delicious and well prepared. Everything came out hot and fresh. The chef even came around to the tables and spoke with everyone. I highly recommend.
