   We had our reservation for 8.30 on Valentine’s Day and got our table at 9.30. Staff was totally clueless. The food was provided in such an odd and organized manner. Don’t waste your money.

   Took an hour in between salad and appetizers to come out. Extremely disappointed with service and the amount of money paid for that service

   Incredibly disappointing experience. Went for Valentine’s day, it was a fixed menu. The service was extremely slow, the main course came out almost 2 hours after being sat down. For the main course, you got to pick between two options, however no-one came to get our choices for the main course (even after informing our server of this twice). They then brought out the main courses of THEIR choice, and it wasn’t what we would’ve selected. On top of that, they didn’t even bring out the two items that my date was looking forward to the most. To make matters worse, there was a massive crowd waiting to be sat down (all with reservations) and looking in our direction as we were the closest table to the entrance. Lastly, there was no-one working the coat check once the restaurant got busy, I had to grab my coat myself, which I found lying on the floor. In conclusion, a very memorable experience..but for the wrong reasons.

   We’ve been loyal customers of Adrak for a long time and have always enjoyed their non-veg platter alongside their signature dishes. However, our recent visit left us with a very odd experience that felt more like a money-grabbing tactic than genuine service. The non-veg platter, which includes murgh, prawns, and lamb, has always been available on the menu. However, when we tried to order it this time, the staff gave us a series of inconsistent and frankly suspicious excuses. •First, they told us the platter wasn’t available, but we could order each item individually as separate entrées—which made no sense, since they clearly had all the ingredients. •When we pointed this out and asked if they could just prepare the platter, they suddenly said it would take 40 minutes. We were fine with that and agreed to wait. •Then, a final excuse: the chef was refusing to make the platter altogether. At this point, it became clear that the restaurant was intentionally trying to upsell us—forcing us to order the items separately at a higher price instead of offering the shared platter, which was likely better value. When we asked why, they provided no real explanation, other than claiming we should have “requested it in advance” on our OpenTable reservation—something we’ve never had to do before, and frankly, an unreasonable expectation for a standard menu item. Since when does a restaurant require advance notice for something they always serve? The entire experience felt like deliberate gaslighting and a clear attempt to upsell rather than genuine hospitality. If a dish is on the menu and all the ingredients are available, there’s no reasonable excuse for refusing to serve it—unless the goal is simply to make customers spend more. This was an incredibly disappointing experience.

   Great food. The restaurant is brightly lit. Great interiors. Slightly noisy which I personally didn’t mind. The rani kachori and tandoori grilled prawns were the best. Tadka daal was also very good. The Awadhi lamb shank was cooked well as was the dak bungalow mutton curry. However, the chicken biryani was very disappointing with very underwhelming flavors. Overall great experience and good to go in small groups as most items are shareable.

   The seating space is incredibly tight—you can practically join the conversation at the table next to you. Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. They forgot to bring our appetizers, serving the main course first, which completely ruined the flow of the meal. We ended up canceling the appetizers altogether. On the bright side, they did offer free dessert to try and make up for the mistake, but it wasn’t enough to salvage the overall experience.

   My reservation was at 7:30 and we were out by 10, much longer than we were expecting to stay for a dinner reservation for 2. The service left a sour taste in my mouth. It was clear we didn’t have a person assigned to our table and we found it near impossible to get anyone’s attention when we needed it. On more than one occasion we had to ask multiple waiters for things like water or even a bar menu. Simply for how much I had to pay I just don’t think this was worth it, there is better Indian food in this city with even better service. Save yourself the money (and the time, since you’ll be waiting a while for your food).

    Just a wonderful experience at Adrak. First time there and it won’t be my last. Everything about the entire dining experience was excellent - atmosphere, cocktails, food and professional service. Try it!
