Your table will be booked for 2 hours.

This is an Afternoon Tea that departs from the traditional, engaging with new ideas to present an entirely different experience.

Join us for a true reflection of the traditional tastes of Winter, now available on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
Served with loose-leaf teas at £60pp, and with Sparking Wine at £70. Our children's menu (up to age 11) is at £25 with a glass of lemonade.

We are unable to make any other amends to our menu based on particular tastes and preferences that do not fall into one of the below dietary options.

Vegetarians, Vegans, Pescetarian, Gluten free and Children's menu.

Please advise in advance of any dietary requirements or children's menus required when booking.

If you wish to increase or decrease the number of guests, please call us on 0208 940 5230 Option 1.

                                        I had a very relaxing time. The food was unique and different from afternoon tea in other hotels. I really liked the scones here. They were crispy, small, easy to eat and the jam was delicious. I was also happy that they provided high chairs for my baby. The atmosphere is casual, perfect for visiting with my kids. It was full when I visited. Everyone enjoyed chatting so I didn't have to worry if my kids were a bit loud.

                                        Food is very underwhelming. Finger sandwiches are just sad. The only good savoury thing was the vegetable muffin. Sweet part is a bit better, but nothing very impressive. Scones were undercooked, very disappointing. Afternoon tea is put on your table but the staff does not explain what each thing is or anything at all. At times it feels rushed.

                                        Not at all what I expected. 3 months ago we enjoyed a fantastic meal in the Restaurant, so we wanted to return for a slightly less formal meal - by going to the Cafe. The website is so confusing that having seen the Teahouse Menu, I booked a meal for two - which turned out to be Afternoon Tea - which is quite a different kettle of fish - cold finger food at £50 per person. The location is lovely, but on this occasion the staff were not particularly friendly or helpful (very different from our wonderful restaurant experience), and the savoury sandwiches and sweets were nothing special - good ingredients, but rather roughly made and certainly lacking any special 'X-Factor'. I felt it was very much overpriced. We were not even offered a top up for our tea - which was pretty bad considering the high price. I had to ask for it! We would definitely not return for Afternoon Tea again, just not worth it; but we would still like to visit the Tea House (which I now understand you cannot book in advance) and I already have another booking for the restaurant which is very good.

                                        Second time at Petersham Nurseries for the Afternoon Tea and it was even better than the first time I’ve visited. I brought my mum for her birthday and she loved it ! The staff has been super lovely and we really appreciated it the candle on one of the desserts.

                                        I loved absolutely everything about this experience and would recommend it to everyone. Food was delicious and presented beautifully, service was great. And looking around at the plants and shop was fun too. Will do it again next birthday !

                                        It was on my bucket list to have afternoon tea at petersham nurseries but actually came away quite disappointed. It wasn’t good value for money and Service was poor. Whilst the environment is lovely I certainly won’t be back.

                                        Poor service, did not explain the menu nor that the scones would come after which we had to ask for. Added to the notes before booking that we were all are pescatarians, they therefore took lots of things off from the menu and only added gravlax to the savoury part. This was not specified and very disappointing as we were looking forward to trying out all the things on the menu given (vegetarian). Very average and little food considering the price. Atmosphere is lovely but overrated. Very disappointing and overvalued experience.

                                        Thank you for your feedback. When customers advise us of their pescatarian dietary requirements (fish) any meat dishes on this day there were 2 pork dishes which were replaced by additional vegetarian dishes including fish dishes (gravadlax) unless otherwise advised not to. This is standard for pescatarian dietary requests of which we carried out.
