There is nothing quite so English than taking Afternoon Tea.

Here at the Hythe Imperial we like to honour this tradition by offering over 10 selections of tea, finely cut sandwiches, delicate pastries and freshly baked scones with clotted cream.
Combine the atmosphere with a great selection of Afternoon Teas to choose from to make an unforgettable afternoon by the Sea.

Please note that outside dining under our gazebos can only be arranged over the phone as spaces are limited.

Please note that we require a non-refundable deposit of £15pp for tables of 4 and above.

Delicious afternoon tea! Freshly made sandwiches with interesting fillings! Also freshly made warm scones. A lovely selection of cakes and as much tea and coffee as we wanted. Efficient, professional and friendly service. Everything was super clean. We were the only people in the room, a beautifully decorated and cosy room, which made it extra special. We go every year just after Christmas and it never disappoints. We will definitely be going back! 100% recommendable.

The quality of the food was excellent. A good selection of sandwiches and cakes. Excellent scones. Quantity of jam and cream was not enough for 4 scones. We were not advised about the different teas available, despite the menu stating that there was a selection. My husband asked for decaf coffee but thinks he was served regular as he experienced increased pulse rate. The ambience of the tea room was lacking as it was very quiet. Very different experience to a London hotel but the price was very good.

Staff were lovely and friendly. Food was freshly made and very tasty. The only downside was the price of the drinks but it was a hotel so expected this.

We had a great afternoon and the atmosphere was great in such a nice location a stone throw away from the beach loved it

My mum throughly enjoyed her afternoon tea for her birthday it was a very good atmosphere and the food was nice.

The food was good and we received our champagne promptly. Unfortunately they completely overlooked giving us the pots of tea and we had to ask for them along with another table in the room. The room had no atmosphere as no music was playing and the room was not full.

firstly a great location. service was fantastic and Chloe was a wonderful waitress to us. Food was very good and the scones need a special mention. Thanks to all the staff that made it a great day
