Chefs Patrick Pham and Daniel Lee have over 25 years of combined experience in Japanese cuisine and sushi. They established their culinary careers in Houston where they worked together for years before creating their own restaurants.

Pham and Lee teamed up to bring new curated dining concepts to Houston’s food scene and kicked off a series of omakase pop-up dinners called Secret Taste. Pham and Lee then opened Kokoro in the Bravery Chef Hall in Downtown Houston followed by Handies Douzo in the Houston Heights.

Aiko is the newest concept from the team featuring a sushi bar and seated dining.

Not a romantic spot. Kids running around. Tables jam packed in the dining room. Weird cocktail tables in the entrance in front of a curtain. Food was fantastic though

The preparation, presentation, and quality of the food was amazing. Great ambient lighting and our chef at the sushi bar was very attentive. Overall, a pleasant experience and great value for the omakase.

Aiko delivers an absolutely unforgettable dining experience! We had the Valentine’s Day omakase, and every single course was a masterpiece. The quality of the fish, the creativity in the presentation, and the attention to detail were outstanding. Our chef, AK, took amazing care of us—his precision and passion for the craft were evident in every bite. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the sake pairings elevated the meal even further. The ambiance was intimate yet lively, making it the perfect setting for a special night. If you’re looking for a top-tier omakase experience in Houston, Aiko is the place to go. We can’t wait to come back!

Aiko was great! We got the special Omakase! Vika was our server and very helpful and attentive. Food was fresh and tasty!

This is one of our favorite spots to go for date night or happy hour! Always so fresh and tasty. We’ve had Lisa as our server a handful of times now and we LOVE her. Very attentive and friendly! She’s the best!

Aiko was an incredible sushi experience from start to finish. The service was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Every piece of sushi was fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The duck liver was a standout, and the overall ambiance made the meal even more enjoyable. Highly recommend Aiko to anyone looking for high-quality sushi in a great setting!

Absolutely incredible. Coming from San Diego where we have phenomenal sushi restaurant after restaurant, this was out of this world.
