Lovely evening! Great attentive and informative service. Amazing fish and wagyu. Beautiful ambiance. So nice to have an upscale Japanese fusion restaurant in the city!

Food was fantastic, cocktails were on point! Our server Rachel was excellent. Highly recommend the Inca Sunset roll, Wagyu Gyoza, Chaufa Fried Rice, and the Tokyo Flame to drink.

I went to Aker with a date on new year’s eve 2024. There was a beautiful ambiance and environment, it is curated really well!! The host was really lovely, and we were seated promptly at a nice table. For drinks I had a mocktail that was super refreshing and delicious, my date had Sake. We are both gluten free and I was a little disappointed with the options available to us on the menu. We really wanted to try some unique and creative fish dishes, but there weren’t a lot of options for us. We had the crudo which was tasty, but not mind-blowing, and the citrus roll which was good, but again not superb. I think the server could’ve been more helpful, they came across as apathetic and weren’t very involved with the service. It was very rushed. We had a nice time but the service and menu don’t really stand up to the price, or ambiance IMO.

Incredible food and cocktails. The dishes were balanced and the flavors were amazing. The almond croissant was delicious and not just an afterthought like most dessert at restaurants. We loved that the dishes were shareable too. Service was top notch. On the higher end price wise, but worth it. We will be back!

Aker is Salt Lake City's best new restaurant. I've been here several time and always receive great service. The cocktails are all on point. The sashimi is the best I've had since living in Japan. Sushi rolls and other dishes are great too.

The food was incredible. Not a bad bite to be had. We especially loved the Ahi Zen roll and the pork belly yakitori. The cocktail I had was tasty but got watered down pretty quickly. Our server Derek was so helpful and attentive. It was a bit loud but to be expected on a Saturday night out. Overall, a wonderful experience and we will definitely come back!

We came for a date, beautiful spot with cozy lighting and a nice view of the streets if you sit beside the window. We had the oysters (amazing) toro maki to start which were both fantastic. Would recommend any of their fish options they are all top notch. Well worth the premium prices I might try their wagyu next time!

Exceptional place!! Loved the atmosphere the vibes with a live DJ were on point! Our server was phenomenal and I feel bad I have forgotten his name! The food was truly incredible! Ribeye wagyu 20/10 wow!

The food was good especially the edamame, the ambiance was a bit sterile and felt like it didn't have personality. The menu is too expensive for Salt Lake City and compared to other restaurants in the same category.
