We are a restaurant and cocktail bar that focuses on putting modern twists on classic dishes and cocktails. Opening in March 2023, Alchemy sets out to provide a completely unique dining experience to the Pittsburgh market.

Our dining room has a sleek and modern style that will give you the feel that you were transported to a big city chic restaurant. We are perfect for the most important special occasions or just a nice dinner out. We can't wait for you to come experience it.

Burger is fantastic! Enjoyed every single bite. Tuna and chips was a surprise star! fresh, fresh, fresh and flavorful. The hanger steak tasted good, but was tough - a disappointment. cocktails were very good too. Definitely recommend for a downtown eatery.

Location is small and intimate, sat on 1st floor bar area. Great food, great service, price point a bit high compared to others.

Restaurant markets itself featuring molecular gastronomy. Nothing on the menu came close. The food was good for a typical restaurant. We were just disappointed that the restaurant and menu lacked the uniqueness of anything related to gastronomy that we were expecting. Good location.

We had a great experience. Food was delicious and our server went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Will definitely go back.

My first visit was a great experience- service, food, drinks, etc. This past visit I ordered the same dish (limited menu) and it was rather underwhelming. So underwhelming, I didn’t finish the meal.. Appetizers are delish, cocktails were decent this time around, too. Should offer at least one vegetarian dish!

Downtown neighborhood gem! Tucked away in a corner on Market Square, Alchemy is a small and intimate place for great cocktails/mocktails/wine and fantastic food. We have had enjoyable lunches here previously and this was the first time we ventured in for dinner. The appetizers (Vietnamese BBQ Shrimp Skewers and Royal Trumpet Mushrooms) were excellent! Everyone at our table raved about the dishes they ordered as entrees (Pork Quesadillas, Pan Roasted Chicken, and Loch Duart Salmon).....by far, the best meal we have had in Downtown! We finished up with Nutella Amaretto Ice Cream and Tres Leches for dessert....both were excellent. Ryan, our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable enhancing the overall experience. Make reservations in advance (especially on weekends) as seating is limited.

Brunch was excellent. Small focused menu. The plates we ordered were executed very well. Everything was delicious. We would go back to try lunch and dinner service.

Great drinks and very good food. The downstairs said this place is quaint but tater small. We did not get the opportunity to look upstairs. The manager was great and the bartender seemed indifferent.

Service was great…from the hostess to the server. All food ordered was as expected and delicious. The only negative aspect is the close proximity of the tables to one another so conversations were all overheard.
