The place’s I really rating online is 4.4 and that seems fair to me. The ambiance is absolutely stunning, and I would have given more than the 5 stars for that. In Playa, everything is loud and crazy, and to find a quiet, classy spot for dinner where you can actually have a conversation without screaming at each other is difficult. The service is impeccable, everyone was super friendly, “invisible “ and professional. Now, on to the food….it’s fine, but only fine. It does by no means match the beauty of the setting. Our group had Soup de alimony (which was excellent), pork tacos (hardly any sides with that), rib eye (which was super fatty- and believe me I like fat on my steak). Three stars there. Overall, I’d recommend the place to my best friend.

Aldea Corazon used to be a local favorite restaurant to take visitors, but this recent visit was different. The hostess was very surly and the manager ended up saying he would seat us. And the menu changed with our favorite items no longer on the menu. The new menu has very little variety and the wine list downgraded. We will no longer recommend this place.

A hidden gem! You would hardly know you just walked off of 5th Ave! Food and cocktails were amazing and the location takes you to this other-world experience.

Authentic Mayan food in a lovely and quiet garden setting right on 5th! We tried Esquite Aldea, Mayan Pumpkinseed,Roasted Beet Salad.. all excellent starters. Lime soup(good but not the best). The fish of the day was sea bass and both the catch of the day and Tikin Xic fish were delicious with a very nice presentation. Service was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Excellent margaritas,servers were congenial and efficient. Skirt steak was tasty but a little tough.Unique setting in a jungle and cenote. Will definitely go again!
